So did Nikki and Cena really split up? I actually like him on Total Divas.

I don't get why total divas and wwe continuity are being mixed.
The idea in season 1 was that it a worked show about the backstage goings on in the divas decision, in total divas it is a knowledge wrestling is a work
The two do not need to be mixed

I like Total Divas because it allows the Divas to show personality they wouldn't get to otherwise. I just wish they wouldn't mess with the Wrestling product to make material for Total Divas. It should be the other way around. Total Divas should be used as the backstory for divas matches.

Total Divas should have been about the normal day-to-day lives of female wrestlers in WWE. This scripted "drama" bullshit is incompatible with regular WWE programming.

Kind-of off topic, but the post wondering if Cena and Nikki broke-up reminded me that one aspect of the show that never carries over to the main shows is Cena/Nikki. In fact, now they are subtly teasing that Tyson Kidd has a thing for Nikki Bella. Obviously last week he was looking at Nikki injured on the floor instead of Natalya who won the match. This week (on the App) Tyson had on a Bella necklace, which Nattie angrily made him take off. If Tyson is trying to pull something off with Nikki, shouldn't John Cena (in storyline) be responding to this? Of course this goes back to my original point that Nikki and Cena's relationship is ignored on the main shows. It's one of the few things that is ignored since they acknowledge Bryan and Brie and Naomi and Jimmy Uso.

I know that Total Divas is popular and all, but I don't see why they spend so much time tailoring storylines on the main shows just to tie in to Total Divas, especailly when Total Divas is taped so far in advance. Just show the commercials you've been showing and move on. Because WWE cares more about that hypothetical person that doesn't watch wrestling but is going to start watching because Total Divas is so awesome and they might get to see a 5 minute wonmens' match at some point while sitting through a 3 hour Raw (so basically, a f***ing unicorn) than it does about the people who are already watching Raw. Actually, though it took a while to happen, you do notice a small but audible feminine cheer when any of the TD cast members come out that wasn't there before. I think a fair few women have been converted to WWE by Total Divas. A friend of mine used it as a gateway to get his girlfriend into watching wrestling with him, and she now owns a Fearless Nikki shirt and watches the Divas match on every pay-per-view. So it's not as crazy an idea as you might think. However, basing the Divas division around something as histrionic and trashy as reality TV means it's only ever gonna prolong the struggle for the women to be treated as serious wrestlers and emotionally-balanced human beings so it can f*** right off now it's done it's job. If the season 3 ratings plummet continues into season 4, it probably won't be recommissioned, so here's hoping. In season 1 it was a lot of fun, seemed to have a lot more improvisation and the girls just being themselves, and they weren't all selfish, hateful morons, but now... bleargh.

Am I taking it wrong or is that video on the first page implying that Paige is some sort of drug dealer or something?
That doesn't make anyone involved look good at all. Does it not also imply the Wellness thing as a farce as I know weed stays in the system for a long time from my previous legal jobs.

Testing positive for weed results in a fine of about $2,000 or $2,500, not a suspension.

If Nikki's evil, and WWE admits it in kayfabe outside the show, then you've just told people JOHN CENA dates a heel Diva...which makes Cena look like less of a good person. Since, in case you didn't realize, John Cena is the second coming of whatever deity you believe in, that is not possible. The Wellness Policy doesn't give suspensions for marijuana- it's only a $1,000 fine, IIRC (maybe it was increased following Jack Swagger's arrest, but even then it's just a fine in the policy.)

It's all a practical joke at Nattie's expense. WWE isn't going to allow something like that to be aired if it's not a joke.

It's Total Divas, the whole thing is scripted I guess but it just looks bad in that context. Maybe the whole episode explains it more like you said.

God, can't you just say on TD "what goes on while performing is different from when we're not," ... WWE can have their storylines, TD can have theirs, and they don't end up f***ing each other up. For example, that stupid f***ing match Nikki and Natalya had on RAW that was supposed to be over a painting Natalya gave her THE NIGHT BEFORE ON TOTAL DIVAS! .... so we're supposed to believe that they've been saving this up for months, then when the episode finally airs Nikki's like, "Oh yeah, I forgot.. I'm mad about that!" Then they stop everything, have a match on RAW... which Nikki won, where apparently what that means is... by way of pinfall, Nikki is right and Natalya's wrong, because how dare her make something for Nikki and present it to her. f*** Natalya.
You do this, and it makes the rumored decree of "Nobody on Total Divas can hold the title" plausible. I honestly think that's still in effect, just they needed to hand the title to somebody and everyone else is on Total Divas... so they had to give it to one of the Bellas because they were short on other divas, plus as a way to say "See, internet? You're wrong!" just to re-instate it once they decide certain divas won't be featured on the next season.
Plus, it f***s with everything. Do you f*** a WWE storyline for an E! Storyline? What happens when they take a break from taping? Does the WWE go into a holding pattern? Say no diva matches for the next six months until taping resumes? Who's working for who here? I give two shits about the ratings... it's not too difficult to keep things separate. You do this, you may as well go with full-on kayfabe.... Nikki's a heel, so... she obviously can't date John Cena anymore. Brie feuded with Stephanie, so obviously they can't show them on screen without them fighting.
Keep the two separate. Otherwise, do yourself a favor... don't call up any new divas from NXT until Total Divas goes off the air. You'll f*** them up trying to appease a completely different network with their own agenda you're bowing to.
