Normal work hours for me for the first time in my life. I'll get done work around 8PM... with an 80 mile commute plus holiday traffic get home between 10PM-11PM just in time for the family to start opening gifts. I remember not to long ago vitually everything shutting down in the afternoons or at least by 5PM on Christmas Eve. My how things have changed.

I start at 11pm provided I don't get on-call or (Christmas miracle) Time Off Without Pay. But then I work nights, and the hospital of course never closes.

I'm not. One of my housemates is working Christmas day though. Has to deal with Timmy the rape-y Tapir at the zoo where she works whilst she cleans his enclosure. She isn't pleased about it.

I'm only working from 9am-12pm today (normal hours are 9-5) and off until until Monday the 29th. I'm an insurance broker. I'm out of here in twenty minutes. I didn't receive a single call or email this morning which makes me happy. I didn't want to call anyone either. I think I'm one of the last people anyone wants to hear from on Christmas Eve.

10-6:30, but then I get to go home and game my mum and her husband in my apartment waiting for me. So I had to give the hookers the night off.

I managed to get Christmas Eve, and a local theater is showing Into The Woods at 7:00 tonight, so I will be going to that instead of working. Downside: I have to work Christmas night.

I have to deliver all these bikes and X-Bones around the world at the speed of light. The cookies and milk are nice but the reindeer stink. But perhaps I have said too much...

My second job is playing music for a Catholic church; I'll be working the midnight mass tonight (carols at 11:30, mass probably done by 1:30am), then I'll be up the next morning for a 7:30am mass and three others.
I don't mind telling you, singing/organ playing on 3 hours of sleep sucks, and it's a bit off-putting to get to Christmas dinner with my family every year and fall asleep in my food, but end of the day, it's solid pay for not many hours of working. Besides, my dad has a similar second job, and he's got more gigs today than I do, to go along with a super early one tomorrow.

I work from 7am-11am but I'm getting paid time in a half, it counts as 8 hours, and they are taking us out for lunch. The one nice thing a year this company does
