86-94 is the best era of SNL. Thats not just nostalgia goggles either as i first saw those episodes in reruns and loved every second of them.

86-94 is the best era of SNL. Thats not just nostalgia goggles either as i first saw those episodes in reruns and loved every second of them. I'd go further back to '81. Eddie Murphy for me MADE the show. Prior to that, the original cast was okay, it had it's moments but it was never laugh out loud until the later seasons.

I've never found SNL funny and have only watched when they have a guest host i'm interested in seeing.
