How is it continuing to get worse? This is no different than what was reported earlier this week.

How is it continuing to get worse? This is no different than what was reported earlier this week. The previous report (by WON again) didn't mention Neville gaining a mask and being a kid's character, it mentioned Neville being "Mighty Mouse-esque" which many took as being a tough guy who's underestimated exactly like Mighty Mouse. So yes, it is different than what was previously reported. It's two different things here.

Vince originally wanted to do the Mighty Mouse deal with Chris Candido way back when they brought him in.
I guess, it's true. Vince has this list of gimmicks he wants to do and he throws them at people until somebody agrees to do them or they don't have the balls to turn him down, which Candido did because he was sensitive about his size and didn't want to be the tough little guy.
Figures, a 1940's cartoon character inspires a 2010's wrestler. Cultural relevancy, thy name is Vince.

Even as someone who finds Neville dull and really has no interest in seeing him be anything but the new Evan Bourne, that is just baffling. Especially when he pretty much immediately got over in his Raw appearance.
Also, you'd think after Los Matadores flopped, the crowd stopped reacting to Hornswoggle, and New Day was met with boos they'd get that, "Smiling, happy-go-lucky babyface," does not work anymore.
Plus it's nice to know that they're already undoing Triple H's crazy idea of the gimmicks people get used to playing being their gimmicks on the roster and moving back to the OVW style of, "Hey, nice work out there, you two. You're being promoted! Now instead of bitter enemies you're bondage-loving twins!"

I don't even think Neville needs a gimmick, at least not yet. He got over/will get over based on the incredible things he can do in the ring. Not because he'd be wearing a mask and being an "underdog".

If they gave him a Cartoon Head gimmick, I wouldn't speak ill of WWE creative for the next 6 months.

I don't understand why they treat NXT as a completely separate entity nowadays. They push the network heavily as is. Surely the better way to do things would just be to "promote" them (honestly, this sounds more like a demotion than anything else) and keep their characters and have the announcers callback to NXT and stuff.
Of course, that would require WWE management to think instead of allowing the first random idea that pops into their tiny brains to be the idea they go with.

Whats the point of these guys being in developmental for years, developing their characters until they have them down, and then Vince changes everything about them at the last second? Seriously, Vince needs to go.

I think that if a gimmick Vince gives to a wrestler fails, they blame the wrestler (and the fans for not understanding the gimmick). After all, the New Day is such a brilliant idea, it must be Kofi's fault it's not taking off.

I'll believe it when I see it. But I do NOT see HHH and Neville letting this happen. It is beyond ridiculous, obviously.

the man that creative forgot I think that's Justin Gabriel. I think this'd be more The Man That Creative Remembered.

With those elvish ears, Neville is doomed, DOOMED I say, if they at any point use the word mouse to describe him. If they actually put him in a mouse mask they're either stupid or assholes.
