If TV Orton was more like RL Orton, I wouldn't dislike him so much. That's the thing about Cena and Orton. Even when the main event backlash started they seemed pretty cool in real life. I'm pretty sure being THE GUY for so long has warped Cena, but Orton still seems pretty chill. Cena has transitioned into becoming Yoda. I refuse to believe that part of Total Divas is fake, Cena is Yoda.

I wonder if there was something to that injury rumour that was floating about just before he took the time off for filming. I mean, he's been gone for nearly two months now, and I don't think filming was scheduled to be that long. Also, he's missed two slam-dunk opportunities to get return revenge on Rollins with Survivor Series and TLC, so I'm guessing he's being held off for another month just for some rest before coming back for the Rumble... which would be great for any inconvenient injuries if he wasn't busy taking bumps for children. I wouldn't say it's necessarily being injured, and more how there was news coming out for a good while about how he desperately wanted time off and they wouldn't give it to him. They probably just figured so long as he was out for the movie anyway they could tough it out a few extra weeks and give him a well-deserved break.

Probably just time off since he had been going non-stop for a while. He starts back (at least on the house show front) tomorrow at MSG.

See a rotating off season is great for wrestlers, having fun and everyones pro Orton all of a sudden.

Seriously, off-air Orton is so much more entertaining than on-air Orton. To the nth degree. I might actually enjoy the dude. As is, I haven't found him interesting in a decade.

Orton seems like a cool dude, perhaps like Kevin Nash.
Too bad WWE will never take advantage of that.

Now I want to see Orton duckface selfie pics of approval after every useless Divas backstage segment. Kinda like what they tried to do with Titus during the Diva Slammy award.

See a rotating off season is great for wrestlers, having fun and everyones pro Orton all of a sudden. I have long advocated doing this. They had a golden opportunity to really do this in earnest when they had three separate brands. Each brand could take a month or two off for a legitimate offseason following one of the big PPVs of the year (WrestleMania, Summerslam, and Survivor Series), have "Best of Season" recaps mixed in with new, in-character, in-depth interviews, matches from NXT featuring people that are getting called up, bonus matches from the brands still in season (i.e., from Smackdown when Raw is in offseason, vice versa, etc.), and the occasional fresh match involving undercard guys trying to "earn" their way back onto their brand while everyone else is at home.
