We had pierogis & potato pancakes for dinner last night. Tonight we are having homemade calzones. NYE it's a chili cheese dip, & bacon wrapped breadsticks. Not sure what we're making for NYD.
So, what's the eats FAN?

Whatever the Hospital gives me. Lunch was dry turkey covered in somehow dry gravy next to dehydrated stuffing and what looked like it could of once been broccoli.

For Christmas Eve, the wife and I do our version of the Italian "seven fishes":
- Crab dip - Goldfish crackers - Tuna alfredo - Broiled tilapia with mustard - Deep fried chicken straps (Because if tuna is the "chicken of the sea," then chicken obviously must be the tuna of the land.) - Ben and Jerry's Phish Food - Friskey's seafood delight (for the cats)
On Christmas morning, we have bread cheese and honey. For dinner:
- Red sauce. Our recipe is a combination of my grandmother (the basic recipe), the wife's grandmother (add sausage, meatballs and a quarter of a chicken) and my dad (Go heavy on the basil and add pork). Our addition is parmesan rinds. - Three kinds of ravioli: Cheese (ricotta, mozzarella and fontina; family recipe), buffalo and spinach (family recipe; we just swapped out veal for bison) and sausage and portobello (we invented that one ourselves). - Ham - Garlic knots

Christmas Eve is when we have the big family get together - lobster tails, fried shrimp, some kind of broccoli, scungilli salad, mussels, stuffed mushrooms, prosciutto bread, a pasta course that I never bother with. My cousin made some weird cannoli dip for desert, but I can't stand cannoli's so I didn't really have much. I'm really not big on Italian food so I usually just go for the lobster tails, and nobodies really made them any good since Grandma died ten years ago.
Christmas Day itself it was just me, my Dad, my sister and brother-in-law so we just went out for Chinese food.
