It's time to make one last patch-up and induct Owen Hart in the hall. No excuses now. Plenty of excuses. The backlash from Martha and possibly even the media wouldn't be worth it. If everything could get settled with Bruno and Lanny, I don't see why the same can't happen with Martha and the WWE.

Macho Man will be inducted by Maria Menounos The ceremony would have to start at noon!

WWE says that Hogan will be inducting Savage. Not a bad choice, but I actually would have preferred Jake the Snake, Steamboat, or even Dusty.

If everything could get settled with Bruno and Lanny, I don't see why the same can't happen with Martha and the WWE. Bruno and Randy didn't die in a WWE ring after falling from the rafters. Martha will come to terms with Owen's wrestling legacy (which I gather she cares nothing for, and you kinda can't really blame her) or she won't. Not much wiggle room with this particular formula.

Whether we think they're responsible for Owen's death is up for debate but Martha does so that's that. Bret himself has even said it's fear of backlash from Martha holding them back from doing it.

On the one hand, I'm thrilled to death that Randy Savage is finally being inducted.
On the other, I'm heartbroken he can't be there to see it. It's a damn shame that this didn't get done a half-decade ago.

At the very least it is happening though, so Im happy about that.

They still need to announce a major name who is still alive for the 2015 class. They can't have the biggest name of the night be inducted posthumously. Like in 2006, they inducted Eddie Guerrero, but they needed Bret Hart there to keep the evening from being a depressing, dour, melancholy affair.

You know I don't like the "expected to be inducted" stuff they're doing with this...

You know I don't like the "expected to be inducted" stuff they're doing with this... Yeah kind of ruins the "oh snap!" shocker moment. I think they end up putting Macho and Elizabeth together in the hall.

For once, I'm glad The Authority is not starting the show.

Hogan to induct Savage. Not happy with this decision at all It would be kind of hard to find a person more closely connected, career-wise, to Savage than Hogan. Hulk was Savage's greatest opponent/feud, drew a ton of money together, were a tag team, etc. As long as Hogan isn't accepting the award, which I highly doubt he will, then I'm not sure what the big deal is. If anything, the induction is already ruined by the fact that they waited four years after Randy's death to actually induct him.

If Lanny is accepting, then I don't know who else it would be.

Yeah, the Megapowers exploding being one of their year long feuds... not to mention the other important times they faced makes Hogan one of the best people to induct him. He isn't accepting, that is undoubtedly either going to be Lanny or Macho's widow.

Anyone know what the ticket prices for the HOF might run? I don't even know if I'd be able to make it to that event, but I'd like to know there's a chance. According to the event page on the SAP Center's website, ticket prices range from $26 - $152. (Keep in mind that these probably don't include Ticketma$ter's outrageous surcharges.) www.sapcenteratsanjose.com/events/detail/wwe-hall-of-fame-2015

Hogan to induct Savage. Not happy with this decision at all It's one of the greatest of all time inducting posthumously another one of the greatest of all time. It would have been nice maybe to have Steamboat or some of Macho's family to do it, but otherwise I'm afraid I don't see the issue.

That'll be everyone from the notable exceptions list inducted won't it? Who's left? Oh don't worry, the IWC is bound to bitch about future should-be HOFers. CM Punk automatically springs to mind. He'll get in eventually. There's always open positions for janitors.

Hulk inducting Macho is perfect. He'll put Macho over big time. I imagine Lanny will take the stage. Should be a great moment.
