If you count NXT, 2014 would be the year I've enjoyed wrestling the most since about 1992. NXT absolutely counts. WWE signs the checks, pays the rent, and buys the ring, etc, so it's WWE.

2001. And that's why I watch less than 5 shows a year.

2014 Exactly my thoughts. Are there things I don't like or infuriate me? Sure. Are most of them Cenacentric? Yes. But that doesn't mean there aren't things I don't like, and even stuff I hate keeps my attention because I have to know what happens. Thirded. There's still plenty keeping my attention and that I enjoy. I just ignore the stuff I don't enjoy. I'm with you guys. Never understood the concept of 'hate watching'

Never understood the concept of 'hate watching' It's simple - just enough good stuff happens (albeit more and more rarely to where I've largely stopped waiting around until it happens and plan to just see anything of the sort after the fact) that people keep telling themselves, "No, no, it's okay, I'm sure if I sit through another segment of the commentators taking selfies with the bunny something good will come after."

I thoroughly enjoyed NXT from the reboot in 2012 until now
2011 was the last year I was really satisfied with the main roster product! after that there were too many misfires (Ziggler/Ryder/Punk being treated wrong, Show/Kane/Orton having too prominent roles etc) and they brought the product down alot

If there was an entire year in which you enjoyed literally everything WWE put out, I'd say you have the opposite problem of most of us on here, namely having standards that are way too low.
I have enjoyed every year because the bad stuff has never been enough to outweigh the good for me. Even watching the InVasion angle flop miserably I was still enjoying what was an extremely high quality year for the in-ring stuff.

I've enjoyed the work of so many people this year, that's all I think there's some crossed-wires in this thread, it sounds like you you would count a year even if you skipped large chunks of it. Others seem to be going on the basis that to "truly enjoy" a year of WWE you have to enjoy the vast majority of shows for the entire year.

It's a variety show though. Nigh on impossible to like everything, yet it seems the standard for WWE has to be that almost everything has to be viewed as positive or it's a bad show, bad year, the reason the company is 'failing' etc.

I'm a huge Rock mark, so i'll say 2011. Plus it was the year that had the best WWE match and build ever since Rock/Austin @ WrestleMania X-Seven.

Nigh on impossible to like everything, yet it seems the standard for WWE has to be that almost everything has to be viewed as positive or it's a bad show, bad year, the reason the company is 'failing' etc. It having a lot going on in a given show doesn't change the fact that most Raws are completely indistinguishable from each other due to all of the repeat matches and cookie-cutter promos, they barely have actual storylines anymore, and that they don't ever cut anything short if it's being received negatively or whatever else. The show's a variety show, sure, but it's usually a dull aimless one. And the company genuinely is in some trouble. Not just due to bad shows, though years upon years of them piling up is something, but the roster has no depth at all and most of it consists of people who've been hopelessly damaged from years of being completely aimless, injuries seem to be getting more and more frequent, the TV deal being renewed was a complete fiasco, the Network's a flop, and they're cutting costs left and right. Not saying they're dying, they're not any time soon, but as it stands the company has no future, has less money coming in than they have in the past, and have been steadily losing viewers.

There hasn't been a year I've consistently loved or hated.
2011 would've been so much better had WM XXVII not stunk something fierce and Nash/HHH pointlessly stunted CM Punk

I enjoyed 2014. You had the "Yes Movement" and Daniel Bryan winning in grand fashion at WMXXX. You had the shocking Undertaker upset and a dominating year by Brock Lesnar. You had the Shield breakup and Rollins/Ambrose carrying shows all year long. The Network finally launched this year and delivered great content. NXT kicked ass all year. So it was an enjoyable year. I'm hopeful 2015 will be even better.
