Though it's very different from what most people have in mind when they hear the word "kumite". The real one, the 100-man kumite, is an endurance test where one martial artist spars against 100 opponents of at least equal rank in quick succession, only allowed a 60 seconds rest between fights, and the goal is to beat at least half of them. Brock Lesnar enters and wins in 5 seconds, when all 100 forfeit. Lesnars first opponent. {Spoiler} Lesnar quietly packs up and leaves.

The crazy billionaire should also air a commercial simultaneously over tv and the internet. He then gives a speech with his nostrils flaring.
"The art of fighting has been diluted and soiled by the hands of charlatans. I am here to present you a tournament that will bring back the nobility of unarmed combat. You are not truly a fighter unless you fight in the purest form. In order for the ring to be re-baptized in it's former glory, it must bathe in blood!"
*ad ends. Followed by McDonalds commercial.* "Try our new spicy big mac, The Warrior's rage!"

I'd wager that the events of Time Cop are more plausible to happen at this point.

I'd wager that the events of Time Cop are more plausible to happen at this point. What about Knock Off?

I'd wager that the events of Time Cop are more plausible to happen at this point. What about Knock Off? Replicating the nano-bomb technology is impossible. Time travel is substantially more plausible at thispoint.

Kumite? Sure, why not? But I would prefer George Carlin's idea of "Slugfest" finally coming to fruition. (language warning) Not until we finally get to see Mike Tyson box Secretariat first. "There's no way to prepare, there's no way to train!"
