My brother told me this earlier today...
reigns vs Lesnar at Mania... In two minutes Reigns ducks a sneak attack, hits the superman punch and spears him for the win. Have Heyman sell the defeat just like he did last year with Taker... Complete shock.
Then let Seth come down during the confetti celebration and cash in. Let those guys go 20 minutes with Reigns going over and being the top face in the company. I actually liked his idea and will cement Reigns as a badass.
I know this has been done before (diesel, Backlund) but still think it could work

I really think if they must do Lesnar / Reigns for the title that's how it should be done. Beating Lesnar itself won't mean all that much honestly, the match won't have a compelling story going into it regardless, and it won't be any good. Have Rollins announce in advance he's cashing in right after because regardless the winner will have been beaten to a pulp, make him a heavy part of the build, then have Reigns squash Lesnar which would at least be something genuinely big and it's not like his credibility needs protecting if he's leaving, and have Rollins try and drag Reigns to a decent match afterward.

That would only cement him as the new top face who always gets booed out of arenas. That kind of booking is what turned everyone against Cena.

That would only cement him as the new top face who always gets booed out of arenas. That kind of booking is what turned everyone against Cena. Eh... The odds shit is what made people stay against him, but what made them turn was him deciding to hand over his balls and start talking endlessly about how much better his opponents were than him. That and completely ditching the gimmick that got him over in favor of being a fake marine, plus just how exposed he was in the ring as being completely out of his depth. Granted all of that's still probably going to happen to Reigns, but I don't think skipping on a bad Lesnar match to have a good match with a heel he has a more personal history with would be a bad idea.

It would be a complete waste of the money they have spent on Lesnar. The only way to make Reigns look credible is if he goes toe to toe with Lesnar and beats him clean with no shenanigans. Sadly for Reigns, he is nowhere near ready for that plus I don't think Brock cares enough to make Reigns look strong.

In kayfabe, Lesnar is at a level right now where he is the ultimate final boss of WWE. Having Roman not only conquer Brock, but then wrestle through as well as win a 20 minute match would make him look so unbeatable that the only place to go would be Roman killing himself on live TV and his corpse being turned in to a golden statue that would watch over everyone.
It'd make him look really strong, pretty much.

There is no scenario for Reigns to come out of this looking good. He simply can't be the one to face Lesnar. He's not ready yet, he never got time to get ready because of his injury, and with the time he has, WWE is booking him horribly. There are other names WWE can have to face Lesnar that will give a better story, match, and crowd reaction, like Dolph Ziggler or Daniel Bryan.

If Lesnar is in fact leaving then I'd get the belt off him at the Rumble and maybe go with Cena vs. Reigns at WM. Oddly enough I'd trust Cena more to carry Roman to something decent than I would a totally unmotivated Lesnar. In fact this limited dates junk with Brock has killed all potential for him to have some "final boss" type of title run. It's hard to buy into a guy being this ultimate bad ass world champion that decimates everyone if he NEVER WRESTLES. The storyline that needs to happen is Brock crushing everyone month after month on PPV to the point where you say "Man, who can possibly beat this dude?" But he doesn't wrestle or do anything, so no one cares. If anything he comes off like a cowardly paper champion, the exact opposite of what they're going for. And given that Cena already essentially beat him with a visual pin before the Rollins cash in, it's not like Brock is unbeatable.
I will never understand why they put the belt on Lesnar. If they absolutely had to do it, then put it on him at the Rumble, not at SS. I could deal with him being a part time champion from Jan. to April, but not from August until April.

Reigns beating Lesnar in two minutes I am afraid is a horrible idea in my view. It would render the streak ending and the cena squash at Summerslam completely pointless in one fell swoop. If they are going down this route, they have to have a competitive match.
Further to that, the idea of Rollins cashing in after Reigns has only had a two minute match is even worse. Why would Rollins cash in on a guy who is practically fresh? Would go completely against Rollins character and Seth then losing would make him look like a chump and difficult to repair.
I get that maybe Roman isnt the finished product in the ring or on the mic, but is he really the worst option to beat Brock at Mania in a normal match? I would prefer Bryan or Ambrose, but I can accept Roman is extremely over and there is a logic in booking Brock v Roman without having to adjust it as anything more than a straight up competitive one on one match.

Wouldn't be the right away to do it. Lesnar and Reigns will have a good match and he'll look more effective going toe to toe with Lesnar.

Lesnar as 'final boss' is perfect. The only way anyone should beat him is with their last breath after being absolutely battered. As I say that I can picture Ziggler in that role.
