You think after New Years, that in 2015, Back To The Future II will get a lot of air play on tv, and perhaps get some one night only screeings in theaters?
Well in 1999, Prince's "1999" didn't get that much air play so who knows?

I dunno, I remember the radio stations here played 1999 ironically more than The Greatest Romance Ever Sold, Prince's other major single that year.

MTV2 played the 1999 video for 24 hours on new year's day. I watched it about 50 times because I was a weird kid.

This'll be a terrible year for Back To The Future memes.... every single day there will be "This is the date Marty McFly traveled to in the future!" memes. However, there's a good chance we won't see them again after this year.
That said... this year, I'm putting money on the Cubbies.

Well if you follow the theme of the movies, it is most likely the fall of 2015. 1985 was in November, 1955 was in October, don't remember 1885, and since you mention the Cubbies it had to be the fall because this takes place post World Series and I guess this year the Marlin are moving to the AL, or they are finally going to have inter league playoffs through out and we will our first NL vs NL World Series.

Yeah, it is in the Fall... but people have been posting memes for every single day, photoshopping that day's date into it.

I knew one was November and one was October I just couldn't remember which one, but I could swear remembering the alternative dark 1985 when Marty grabs Strickland's newspaper and gets held up at gun point that it was a November date on the newspaper. Speaking of which, Back To The Future II the sort of mislead, the trailors was showing nothing but 2015, but really just the first act in 2015, and the main plot doesn't kick in till we get to the second act in the alternative 1985, the save Marty's kids from going to jail was only a minor subplot, and it was just setup for old man Biff getting the sports almanac, and Marty letting being called a chicken get under his skin which doesn't come into play till the third movie.

Meh, it was an alternative 2015 created when George punched Biff.

Meh, it was an alternative 2015 created when George punched Biff. Plus, it won't help the others for that alternate 2015: We saw in the "original" BttF timeline: George didn't punch Biff. He was taking orders from Biff even in the current timeline, Biff was a big deal (and we know nothing of his family). Marty goes back to 1955: Biff was a BMOC, and he and some of his goons were in varsity jackets (giving credence- Biff had athletic ability.) George punches Biff, we get an alternate 1985, Biff is subservient to George (no knowledge of his family as well.) 30 years later, Marty goes to 2015, where Biff is unknown for his own status- but with a time machine, his first idea is "make money by betting on sporting events". He takes the sports almanac, goes to 1955, and changes history and obliterates that 2015, with no knowledge of the end...but his life in those 30 years is unknown, with the only clue: He views sports as his way to make money and had athletic ability, which was deferred. Conclusion: In the Back to the Future world, Biff Tannen's destiny was to be the father of the Chicago Cubs player who led them to win the 2015 World Series. Because Biff stole the sports almanac, that 2015 never happened, but Biff had his own glory instead and didn't care. ...so, sorry Cubs fans, you're not winning next year either. Blame Biff Tannen for this one.

I mean, I'm pretty sure "The 6th Day" had a bigger impact on the cultural landscape. I fully expect theaters around this great country to be holding screenings.

Hover technology would probably be too dangerous. Someone would get shitfaced and fall out of their car, at 30,000 feet.
If 2015 sees the development of instant hydrated pizza, I'd be cool with just that.
