I've only heard it once, and cannot for the life of me remember how it sounds

I first became aware of this song through an app, and couldn't figure out why someone would cover Sinead O'Conner's song so fast. I think that sort of thing is what happens when you listen to NPR instead of pop rock stations. I was more aware of St Paul and The Broken Bones than I was of Hozier.

Honestly, its not a *BAD* song. Its just an okay song that about every radio station in the country plays all day everyday like its the greatest thing to ever happen to music since ears. What I don't get is why it's getting such a huge ad campaign. Is the artist some guy the record labels are trying to make into a megastar? That's usually how it works.

It's funny which songs the US pick up on. It's a really good song. I heard this for the first time yesterday, so are us lot over the pond going to get bombarded by this song? He's Irish and I think it's still in the charts. I'm almost sure it's been released twice actually, as it had a revival earlier this year and it's over a year old.

I'm usually up on my pop music, but I've never heard this song.

Maybe it should be Take Me To Churches, and he wants fried chicken.

That one must've totally passed me by then & then thread was a massive coincidence!

It's funny how modern rock crossovers to pop radio work. I think I heard Sail got pop radio airplay this year like it was something new, and it's been around for a while.
