How'd she pass away? Jeez, this was sudden. R.I.P. to a woman who was a lynchpin of my childhood. Very weirdly, Wikipedia was updated to state that she was apparently diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia a few weeks before her death (which was December 21st) - and that's the one lone cause of death to be found. Even TMZ reported it as "undisclosed health reasons." Apparently she had retired from voice acting in 2002 due to a health scare. I hope that hadn't been a consistent problem for her ever since... Her reasons for retirement are officially undisclosed, but she had wanted to start a family and that was the most likely reason for that. She was very reclusive and so not a lot is known about her post-retirement.

Oh dammit, she was Marty Sherman on THE CRITIC too! I knew if I kept reading I'd find her in a role on a show I loved!

I'll know her best as Gosalyn, so there goes my hope for a feature length Darkwing Duck movie.

As others have said, huge kick in the junk if you were a kid in the 90s that watched cartoons.
Looks like Dexter's now blowing shit up in that big ass laboratory in the sky.

I saw her name trending on twitter and I figured she ended up like Jan Hooks Always depressing when these prolific voice people die.

Aw, man. It is not a fine day for science.
RIP, Christine. You voiced a great deal of characters I love.

Sucks to hear. RIP, and hopefully Dee Dee isn't being haunted too badly.
Even though she kinda deserves it.
Oh, can't believe I forgot she voiced Bunnie Rabbot. Damn, Bunnie's gone now.

Damn, 2014 really isn't going quietly is it? I must admit I wasn't familiar with the name, however I know a lot of those characters she played so that really sucks R.I.P Nobody has any business dying at 51

Dee Dee was Tommy's mother.
Crap, you meant Dexter's sister, didn't you?

That's a mark-out scene, especially when Drake realizes that it's a code. That whole series had references that flew other my head as a kid but really charm me now (Tarus Bulba is a pun on the Gogol short story, Taras Bulba; the name Drake Mallard is a play off of the Shadow's alter-ego, Kent Allard). RIP, she voiced a ton of great characters.
