Back to back showings on FUSE right now. I know this movie is quite infamous, but I can't help but love the stupidty of it. So bad it's hilarious. Am I the only one who doesn't hate this movie?

It has it's moments. There was some kind of weird charisma about Tom Green, despite me wanting to hate him, he made me laugh at times. This movie wasn't very good, but I am curious about the extended edition that Tom keeps mentioning he might eventually release.

Yeah, it's pretty funny at times and other times you just think "....what the f*** am I watching?". Actually I think that throughout the entirety of the film but sometimes good and sometimes bad.
Rip Torn is a badass.

"Daddy would you like some sausage?" gets stuck in my head a lot and I have no idea why.

A friend saw it and told me that the only funny part was "Daddy would you like some sausages?", so I watched that, chuckled and moved on.

I never hated this movie, actually. I remember when I was 16, I caught it on HBO and laughed at certain scenes. However, the movie itself was bizarre and weird. I remember my sister and her friend walked out of this movie.

Honestly, it's a lot more respectable than the bulk of the flood of post-"There's Something About Mary" gross-out comedies. You have to admire how Tom Green just didn't make a teenager-friendly PG-13 big budget 90-minute episode of his show, but instead boldly make one of the most unsettlingly creepy gleefully dark comedies that Hollywood's released this millennium. Green had a vision, got quality actors to turn in great performances, and managed to get away with a lot of unique visuals and one-of-a-kind scenarios not seen in a major motion picture before or since.
Freddie Got Fingered isn't for everybody. Not by a long shot. I think a lot of the subsequent hate its gotten following its initial release has come from the butchered television versions. Green used his 15 minutes of fame and one chance to make a movie to make something truly from his heart. While it would never be an blockbuster "Austin Powers" catchphrase machine, there's a reason we've seen so many threads and discussions about Freddie Got Fingered over the years, as opposed to Tomcats, Boat Trip, Joe Dirt etc.
Love it or hate it (and you would be justified in either reaction) you'll never forget it, and for that I wouldn't put it in any "worst movies of all time" lists. It's art and the closest thing this generation has to Pink Flamingos.

I went with my girlfriend at the time...I've never seen anyone just become pure hatred like she did in the theater.

I think it's underrated and hilarious. I remember when I first saw it as a teenager, I saw it with my parents, and they found it hilarious as well.
It's a stupid movie, but it's meant to be stupid.

I don't think it's awful, but I do find that I dislike it more and more as I get older.
Fun fact: This was the first DVD I ever bought.

Every time I think of Tom Green, this is the first thing that comes to mind:
Dude terrorized his parents...
