Radio stations that don't play hip hop have no problem playing Iggy songs. That annoys me more than anything. I felt the same when Eminem got that treatment but at least he was known as a great rapper. I don't know if that's necessarily a race thing as much as it's a novelty of a song so catchy even non-rap fans like it thing. Nelly, Lyrics Born, Outkast and Cee-Lo all got the same treatment. What's more overtly racist is Wal-Mart refusing to stock Ghostface Killah and Killer Mike CDs based on their names, then turning around and having no issue carrying The Killers If it was one song, I would agree, but all of Iggy's singles are being played on those stations, and those are the same stations that will play pop songs and edit out the hip hop parts in those songs. Iggy is a white female in a black dominated field and gets more airplay on pop stations that never play hip hop than she does on actual hip hop stations. IMO, it's almost entirely race related.

She reminds me of one of those racist, ugly bogan girls from high school who grew up to become famous with a terrible fake ass.

You say she has a fake ass.... are ass implants really a thing? Why would anyone put saline in their ass (I'm just assuming they are similar to breast implants, so I could be wrong)? I like the Iggy songs they play on the radio.... they are catchy. Sue me.

So I'm confused, OP just posted two pictures of Iggy Azalea. Of course she looks like herself.

The problem isn't that she has a persona the problem is that her persona is kind of racist.

One of a million idiots spouting ignorance on twitter. No doubt she's a fool and/or trying to create controversy to further propel her career but my point wasn't whether or not she's a good person. heck, MOST people in the entertainment industry probably aren't good people or at the very least have some serious emotional problems, it was just that trying to lambaste someone for assuming a persona while performing is kind of silly, especially in the hip-hop world. While creating a persona in hip-hop is all well and good, Iggy has a track that opens with her bragging about being a slave master. As a white Australian attempting a genre made by black Americans, there's some things you just don't do. Her obliviousness to it being wrong when she's called out about this is a great microcosm of why people hate her and rightfully so. She's also a bottom five worst live act I've ever seen when she played CMJ in 2011, and by all accounts hasn't improved slightly since. She's a purely studio creation, which would be fine if she even slightly indicated she had a self-awareness about it. Yeah, I can't speak on Iggy Azalea's character, because I don't know what's in her heart, but from a from a purely product-based perspective, she deserves all of the hate she gets and then some. Iggy is basically DuJour from Josie and the Pussycats come to life in the form of mainstream music's version of the "great white hope". She's the tall, leggy blonde from Australia who went from Kylie Minogue to Nicki Minaj when T.I. and Atlantic Records came up with the genius plan to produce a surefire success: an act that would get all of the accolades of being a double minority in hip-hop, with all of the guaranteed success of being the standard in commercial pop. She stole the honor of being the first woman in the XXL Freshman Class from a whole slew of female rappers that deserved it more, and she's been given award and award over far more talented artists. And then there's the part where her number one hit came from a Clear Channel pay-for-play deal.Iggy Azalea isn't an artist, she's an experiment in mass marketing. And the fact that she isn't aware of that only, or at least acts dumb on it, makes people hate her that much more.

Iggy herself had no say in being given awards, being featured in a magazine publication, and I doubt she had much of a role in any pay-for-play deals. I'm not saying that Iggy Azalea is an angel, but I just don't understand the idea of claiming someone isn't an artist or claiming that she's a horrible person just because they don't like the music she makes (not you directly, of course).

Lame sounding fake accent and alleged racism aside there is a one reason why I can't take her serious and be it is because her the first part of her stage name is iggy ffs which makes her sounds like she came from some crappy 80s cartoon.

Not saying that Iggy Azalea is or isn't a good person, but I don't understand how Twitter can possibly be used to judge someone's character. When her entire act skirts the line of "Cultural Appropriation" and then she tops it off by making really racist statements on twitter, it's not hard to see the correlation.

The next scandal for Iggy will be when it's uncovered that it's the Roadie's vocals on her track & not hers

Dunno, but I'm pretty much ready for the hook job on her though.
Her tunes chafe me. They strike a chord that prevents me from just going "Eh, not for me" somehow.
Her career is causing me physical harm.
