Hogan wants a match at wm31. Seems unlikely especially due to stings scheduled involvement this year. Can he even take bumps?
I was thinking it would be cool for him to win the andre battle royal to prove himself and do a rock vs Cena year long build for a match against cena or austin next year. Thoughts? Can he still hang in the ring?

I thought he couldn't wrestle anymore, including the leg drop.
The only way I see him getting in the ring again would be as part of some multi-man match where he doesn't have to do much.

No. The lower portion of his spine has been replaced by a length of plastic pipe and his hips have completely disintegrated, the only thing keeping his legs on at this point are his yellow and red tights and 6 layers of varnish. I wish I were exaggerating, but his back is horribly messed up because of the big legdrop and botched (according to Hogan) surgeries.
No matter what Hogan claims, he will never, ever be cleared to wrestle a full match because he can't move with any sort of speed and one bad bump will leave him in a similar shape to Superstar Billy Graham, which would be a PR and legal nightmare for the WWE given how litigious the Hulkster has been over recent years. The most we will get from him is him standing on the ring apron, punching people in a tag match and I don't think that's what anyone really wants to see in Hulk Hogan's final match.

I can't think of a single reason for this to happen. He has accomplished everything that can be accomplished in the ring.

I hope he wrestles Heath Slater and the entire match is Heath getting back up and charging into Hogan's fist for 5 minutes.

I saw him wrestle 3 years ago at a house show in a 6 man tag wearing red jogging pants. It's great to say I've seen him "wrestle" live but boy was it depressing to see. No thanks.

I've said it before, but if Hogan wants a match and a mania pay off, they should have him wrestle Rusev and Hogan loses in 30 seconds. If you plan on leaving Mania with a babyface World Champion, you have an instant challenger with lots of heat.
If Hogan thinks he should be in this competitive match, he's insane. It's one thing for Jerry Lawler, who is in decent shape. Hulk Hogan can barely move, so they should just get some sympathy for Hogan and heat for Rusev.

That's all true but it didn't stop them from putting Bret into a 25 minute match even though he couldn't take a single bump.

I cannot think of a single way he could put over Rusev safely, though. He cannot bump, he can't likely go into the camel clutch position. So unless he gets DQ'd or something, I don't get how it'd work. If they were going to give him a match, it'd make more sense to just have him in a guy's corner, but if he insisted on wrestling, then make it an 8 man tag and have people do the vast majority of the work. Tag him in, he does some punches, probably can't do the Big Boot so have him just slam a guy's head into the corner and tag in an Uso to top-rope splash the guy he set up, or like have him tag Kofi to do a Trouble in Paradise on the guy as he staggers from Hogan working him over, etc. That's seriously all he could do, and even that's somewhat questionable as far as safety is concerned.

Even if he physically could get through a match. EVEN IF HE COULD. They still shouldn't. At best he can be in a big tag match like Bret Hart at SummerSlam against the Nexus. Let him get a hot tag and have the opponents run into his punches. Pose. Tag out.

Naw I'm good.
Not only can Hogan not wrestle a full match, I don't think it would be right for him to have a 30 second match while inversely giving said 30 second match 30-40 minutes of buildup every week on TV.
Look I get it, a lot of fans think that Hogan should retire in WWE and that its somehow it's a disgusting sin and crime against humanity equivalent to rape, animal abuse, and genocide that his last match was in TNA (really?) , but the ship has sailed on an actual retirement match for Hogan.

I would be fine with him being a surprise Rumble entrant. Would be a big rub to whoever eliminates him. Would need to have some guys on the outside to catch him of course.

Hogan in any kind of battle royal is the same situation as Iron Shielk at WM17 - he'd have to win as there's no safe way to eliminate him. He can't even do a normal bump, how do you expect him to do an elimination bump (guys to break his fall included)? Hell, he's barely got the mobility to get into the ring, much less get up over the top rope. Only way Hogan is having a match again is a Bret vs. Vince set up, and let's be honest, nobody wants another one of those.
