I think if he was healthy, he could be in a tag match of some sort. But, considering he probably can't even do a big boot anymore, I think it's over. He's had too many surgeries and too many back problems for Vince to have Hogan's well-being on his shoulders.
It's to last now. They could still have Hogan come in, throw a few punches on someone, rip off the shirt, and pose. But, a full-blown match is just not possible anymore.

His back seems fine.
Mrs Love Sponge didn't seem to complain.

For some reason I'm getting this cartoonish mental image of like, Hogan being depressed at not being able to land the leg drop anymore and a bunch of jobbers just literally all lifting him up like he's a borderline Christ-like figure and landing him with a leg-drop pose on top of a fallen wrestler.

I say let him do it. I have always wanted to see a human being literally explode inside a wrestling ring.

I want to see it simply because it's probably my only chance to see someone charge a punch at Mania, and land it at Summerslam.

The closest we'll get to Hogan back in the ring is something like Tribute to the Troops, where Noble and Mercury were running into Hogan's fist during the opening segment.

I hope he does it and just sells everything standing up.

Yeah he did throw soooome punches just a few weeks ago. But wow a match? How could they realistically work around a high profile WM match? No doubt the garbage crowd would be super into it, but blech.

I will say this: for what it was when Hogan wrestled Sting in TNA a couple years back, could have been worse.

I've said it before, but if Hogan wants a match and a mania pay off, they should have him wrestle Rusev and Hogan loses in 30 seconds. If you plan on leaving Mania with a babyface World Champion, you have an instant challenger with lots of heat. If Hogan thinks he should be in this competitive match, he's insane. It's one thing for Jerry Lawler, who is in decent shape. Hulk Hogan can barely move, so they should just get some sympathy for Hogan and heat for Rusev. This would actually be great. Rusev calls out Hogan. Over the next couple of weeks leading up to it, we see people talking to Hogan, tryingto convince him to back down, because everyone knows his body's destroyed and he's not young anymore. Then if whoever is slated to take Rusev down is booked right, the crowds will be way behind him. The problem is that the WWE (and Hogan) tend to treat the iconic legends as immortal, unstoppable demigods. That's how they can have Classic Raws where Jim Duggan can waddle out and clean the ring of heels half or a third his age. Hogan cannot be shown as weak.

Nevermind the leg drop, I don't think he could even lift his leg for the big boot anymore.
We'd be basically talking him throwing worked punches at people and that's it. Maybe a really bad looking irish whip clothesline where the other guy does all the work and runs into his arm.

There's a bigger chance of seeing a Final Fantasy 7 HD Remake than seeing Hulk Hogan wrestle again and had it look anything but "omfg this is so f***ing bad."
I get a feeling that if Hogan did a leg drop, any kind of bump, any kind of selling, any big boot just the whole schtick in general, I get a feeling that the moment he does his body will literally crumble into dust in the middle of the ring for everyone to see.

Please tell me that your choice of a Hulk image with him wearing that shirt was intentional.

Nope, but a Rumble spot is. It's easy to have him toss a few guys and do a beat down spot to eliminate him. Never has to bump.
Once you've got the guy who takes Rusev out in mind. Rusev is in the Rumble. Hogan comes down, punches a few times, tosses him over, poses, Rusev comes in, quick beat down, clock hits hero saves Hogan and is ready to face Rusev.
There you go. All ready made.

All ready made. That seems good at first, but I hate non-over-the-top eliminations. Maybe he'd be capable of going over the top and making a pit stop on the apron before falling off? I just keep getting visions of that episode of South Park when Kyle gets a negroplasty and his knees explode, except with Hulk's lower back...

No. Poor guy is hobbled just walking around; putting him in the ring would be a mistake both for his health, and anything that could be considered entertaining to watch.
I love the the guy, but that time has passed.
