So I went on a bit of a shopping spree yesterday on Amazon. Bought a CD from this band the Lost City Angels (their second and final album, which helps me complete the discography) a DVD of "Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father", which I saw a couple of times on MSNBC years back when they did the "doc blocks" Sunday afternoon before doing blocks of "Locked Up" and the more cookie cutter MSNBC made documentaries the network makes in house. It's a great documentary, but man is it a motherf***er of a story. And a DVD copy of "Brother's Keeper", which I have not seen but bought based off of Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky's body of work (by which I mean the three "Paradise Lost" docs and "Some Kind of Monster"). Anyways, I had also planned on purchasing a DVD copy of Errol Morris' "The Thin Blue Line" but the only option I was given was to pre-order either the DVD or Blu-Ray for its release on March 24. So do you guys think this is part of some sort of re-release of the movie? That's the only reason I can think if it nit being available until the end of March, since I doubt it would be that long if it was just "we sold out of our current inventory of that item". Although it would be a bit arbitrary of a time to re-release the film (26th anniversary) when they just had the silver anniversary the year before. My guess is that if this is due to a home video re-release is due to maybe this is the first time it has been available on Blu-Ray?

Just looked it up on Amazon and it says the edition coming up is from Criterion, so it'll be chock full of extras. I've got an older DVD of this and it just has one short interview with it.
I may end up getting this myself...

I may end up getting this myself... A Criterion re-release of a true crime documentary. I'm gonna have to crack open my copy of "Stuff White People Like" and see how many items this checks off.
