I hope that is the correct term. Correct me if I'm wrong. What I'm referring to is someone that makes noise no matter what they do. Like stomping on a wooden floor, slamming shut doors or cabinets. People who just feel the need to make their presence felt. I live with them and it's f***ing annoying. I just got back from a five day trip interstate.. In that time they could of vacuumed the floors.. But they decide to do it the day after I get back the second I started to read something on my kindle. Gawd damn Stompers

My friend Jeff does. The guy is a literal stomper. In fact, my other friends and I make fun of how heavy he walks around the house we all rent. He's also, as you described, a person who's super loud opening and closing doors. Thus, when's it's 2 AM and I'm sound asleep, sometimes I'm woken up by his stomping, closing of the bathroom door and the dropping of the toilet seat. When that happens, I know it's Jeff in the bathroom.

My step brother was like that, luckily my three roommates and I are all fairly quiet people. Hell, we even have a designated eight hour period that we call "Quiet Hours" specifically so we don't disturb each other.

I did the apartment above me. They no s*** just moved out today, so I'm excited as hell that I don't have to hear constant stomping and yelling in a foreign language.

My best friend is like that, but it's not intentional, he just never learned how to walk quietly anywhere. One of my current roommates yells at his vidya at all hours. Rather annoying, but we all generally sleep through it.

One of my room mates is a stomper. She once almost knocked an entire pan of steaks off the porch rail and into the grass just by walking outside. Luckily I heard her Godzilla ass coming before she made it to the porch so I was able to jump up and catch it.

I had a meth addict with a meth addict boyfriend living above my old apartment before I moved. I swear they had a bowling alley up there.

My mother does. For awhile there, if I had my back to the door watching TV with sound muffling earphones in, I knew when she was coming just because a stack of papers I had perched precariously on the table next to me would start to shift. I call it her cockroach stomping walk.
She doesn't BELIEVE that she walks loudly, but whenever we have company over or I'm asleep, she does tend to walk like a sane person so I think she knows but just won't admit it, haha. She also does the drawer slamming thing...

I practically walk on my tip toes in virtual silence, so I am particularly sensitive to stompers.

I'm a stomper according to my family. Mostly when I would up and down the stairs. I guess in general I take big steps, but I don't mean to.

My old upstairs neighbors were. The current ones are a little quieter, but I am convinced they are adherents to some sort of obscure religion because every now and then I hear chanting up there. No bull.
