On my 4th viewing of WK9. In one match here AJ looks like a bigger star then he did in 12 years in TNA. It's freaking crazy

AJ really seems like a new man in NJPW. It's like the chains of TNA are off him.

NJPW has gone tremendous for alot of those guys.
Gallows is so much better being apart of bullet club instead of the gawd damn Aces and Eights.
AJ is obvious for how much of a star he truly comes off as in NJPW.
Same goes for Lance Hoyt and David Hart smith.

Amazing what a change of scenery can do for a guy.
AJ last year looked like he was having fun out there for the first time in years. And the crowds in New Japan love him and have embraced AJ as one of their own. I'll never forget after his match with Suzuki all the inhabitants of Korakuen Hall cheering and chanting his name in unison and the look on his face as they were doing it.

Korakuen totally seems to be in favor of him. i remember during new year's show crowd chanting his name. the same match had guys like Tanahashi, Shibata, Goto & Naito.

Watching it for the first time, just an amazing show all around. Kenny Omega is incredible, really dug watching him. the pacing of the show was damn near perfect. Definitely up there with WM 30 for me.
Hope they release this on DVD and hope they keep showing these shows in the USA.

I'm pretty sure Jarrett is working with them to have it released in America on DVD. The talk so far is to have Invasion Attack in April to be aired in english for The US as well.

Just ordered a blu ray copy, yolo From where? How much? I'm assuming it's not authorized by NJPW but it was at a place called rudoreels for around $20. Included both versions of the ppv and a ton of extras. I doubt njpw markets a version to the U.S. but if they do if consider getting a copy of that too

Just watched it today for the first time. A few thoughts.
Very fast paced matches. Despite how blown up someone is, they get right up when someone pulls them up.
Very few pin attempts. It surprised me how long some of these matches went without lots of pin attempts to artificially prolong the match.
Landing on your neck. Those dragon suplexes. OUCH. I'm sure it's done safely, but man.
Head shots. Again. I hope they're done safely, but especially in the Nakamura/Ibushi match, they seemed to be taking way too many hard shots to the head. Especially the back of the head.
Variety of styles. Really enjoyed the variety of wrestling styles from match to match.
Emphasis on WRESTLING. The guys are barely out of the ring heading to the back, and they're introducing the next match. As opposed to wwe where they seem to think talking and bs drama needs more time.
Awesome stage. So used to seeing the samey Raw set for every week and ppv. That stage blew anything I've seen from wwe in the last few years away.
Overall I really enjoyed the show. The first few matches did little for me, but Nakamura/Ibushi and Tanahashi/Okada were amazing! Kenny Omega is really fun to watch too.

I'm still tempted to buy it though.

Works on PS3/4 at least tho

I just watched the show again today and loved it just as much as I did the first time. I was pretty ignorant of all things NJPW prior to this show, so it was a nice treat. This was some of the best wrestling I've seen in a loooong time. One guy that I loved right away was Shinsuke Nakamura. And it seems as if Tanahashi is NJPW's 'John Cena'. Am I wrong in that assumption?
I'd love to get deeper into the product, but it's a little intimidating. I say this mainly because of the fact that most shows seemingly do not have English commentary. As silly as it seems, the Japanese commentary bugs me because I have no clue what they're saying/have no clue what the stories being told are. I'd love to watch the weekly show, but sadly, I don't get AXS TV.

I'd love to watch the weekly show, but sadly, I don't get AXS TV. I had the same apprehension, but got NJPW world anyway just to test it out. It takes a little bit, but its pretty easy to tell whats going on after a couple of shows. Plus the Japanese commentary is actually interesting to hear but I can tune it out most of the time. Commentary is fairly superflous for good matches because the story is told in the ring. But overall the stories in NJPW don't seem to be as overly convoluted as American promotions. Its generally fights for the title belts or Bullet Club bullying dudes. I was watching a tag match with Nagata and Nakamura on opposite sides and while I didn't understand the commentary, it was pretty easy to pick up that they'll be fighting at the next PPV and they're both super strong style dudes with opposite styles. Nagata is more traditional and Nakamura is flashier.

I love Nagata because he looks like a stern yet loving dad disciplining children whenever he's in the ring.
