Personally I think the NFL Refs are picking up a lot of momentum going into the Divisional Round. Holding the Detroit Lions to just 3 points in the 2nd Half wasn't easy, but they got the job done and pulled out the W.

Ravens @ Patriots 4:30 Panthers @ Seahawks 8:30 Dallas @ Green Bay 1:30 Indy @ Denver 4:30 Predictions: Ravens: Hope I'm wrong here but they seem to have Brady's number on the road in the playoffs. Seahawks: This is going to be a beatdown. Green Bay: Dallas has been good on the road but if they play like today Green Bay has the offense to put them away. Denver: Another hope I'm wrong but I don't think Indy has the D to stop Manning.

My only contribution to this is that NFL and sports in general need to hire "situational psychologists." And they're on the sidelines and active. Before you go and say "that's the coach's job," I counteract that with "they don't do it." Situational psychologist: "The only thing here is dont fumble the football under ANY circumstance or dont throw the ball anywhere near field congestion" (looking at God-forsaken Alabama).
They wouldn't offer that advice all the time. Just psychology for situations where "there is no way we lose this game if you just don't do_____" or "we cannot possibly win this game if you don't _____."
Because the biggest turnoff to sports for me in the modern era is how utterly basement'ed players' IQs are. And how little (or less, I should say) "coaching" plays into modern team games. Everyone is so athletic, but dumb as a sack of hammers.
And that goes for pro and college and football and baseball and all of it that falls under the romantic commercial sport umbrella. For all of the highlights and athletic feats I see, my personality is to be so turned off by the freaking idiotic game management aspects that undo a whole game's worth of superior athleticism.

Everybody's favorite teams in my family (barring my younger brother who likes the Giants...HAH!) is still alive.
Me: Packers My father: Cowboys
My mother: Ravens My older brother: Broncos
Obviously at least one is going down this week. Although if it's a Packers/Ravens or Packers/Broncos, I may have to watch it at my parents's house.

Ravens @ Patriots The Ravens always seem to give the Patriots fits. The Patriots are not flawless nor are they deep. They can be beaten, and I think the Ravens are the team most likely to do it in the AFC. Panthers @ Seahawks This could be a bloodbath, but the Panthers are on a streak of sorts. The Patriots do have the tools to win this. The question is what Seahawks team shows up. Sitting for a week without knowing who you will face next tends to not favor young teams as much as it does older teams. If they are not focused enough, the Seahawks can lose this one.
Dallas @ Green Bay While the refs were part of the issue in tonight's game, the Lions had their own role in shitting the bed as well. The Cowboys will not benefit from the Packers doing that. I think that the Packers will win this one. Indy @ Denver Peyton seems hurt. While the Colts have had issues with the run this season, they have far fewer issues with it when Arthur Jones is healthy. I think either team could win this one, but as a Colts fan I obviously am pulling for the Colts in this one.

When he's on the field, no one on the Ravens can cover him, hell that secondary can't even cover the WRs half the time. NE is probably gonna win this one by a couple TDs. I do think Indy is going to win in Denver, Peyton has just lost it going down the stretch. I'm with you on the NFC, it's Sea, GB, and the other two misfits.

I'd be a terrible situational psychologist. Because all I'd tell them is, "DON'T F*** THIS UP!!!" And then when they'd fumble, or throw a pick, or do something stupid, I'd be like, "WHAT THE F*** DID I JUST TELL YOU?!!!"

While I didn't agree with picking up the flag, the Lions had plenty of chances to put the game away. That one call didn't screw them. From a lifelong Lions fan, Congrats to Dallas, and their fans.
