Before he is sent back in time, does that mean John Connor would evaporate into thin air?

Just wait till Terminator Genisys. I have a bad feeling they will do something just as baffling and stupid.

let me just save everyone a lot of time with regards to the potential of discussing the timeline nonsense of the terminator series

No, they'll take his DNA, clone him, send the clone back to kill the original, taking said DNA and storing it in a hidden spot for his own eventual cloning after taking his spot, allowing for time metamorphosis of the degeneration of the cloning techniques time after time after time after--and that's how Marcus Phoenix stopped the Locust and saved humanity with the help of John Conner and Cole Train.

How about they just beat Skynet already so we can be done please? you can't beat Skynet they'll just send another robot back in time to stop you from beating it! Because really sending robots to random dates of the past is all it has left

Clearly the answer is Bobby Budnick. All will be forgiven if he appears in Genisys, complete with red headed super mullet and defeats Skynet.

As long as they are fertile and say their name is Kyle Reese, I think time will let it slide if you send a random person back.

Don't add logic to time travel, you are only giving everyone a headache.

Just wait till Terminator Genisys. I have a bad feeling they will do something just as baffling and stupid. The basic concept of the film is stupid enough. The film itself will probably only get worse from there.

I just figure time gets split into two like in Hulk: Future Imperfect. You get one timeline where Reese gets killed and one where he doesn't.

I want a Terminator: Effect where Skynet is so desperate to avoid imminent defeat that it just jettisons robots, Terminators, and even hostages into the past, knowing each one will cause its own particular ripple that may be large enough to prevent their defeat.
And yes, I'm saying Skynet would be responsible for Area 51.
Gas cloud UFOs are actually people arriving to bright light flashes.
Former hostages realize what's up and start Biff Tannening their way towards, what they believe to be, an inevitable doomsday.
I don't know...it's nonsense...and that's apparently where this series is going.

Surely their's some sort of record to show who created skynet, right? It's a computer program and it had to originate somewhere. Why can't they just go back in time and stop that person? Kind of like they tried to do with Age of Ultron.
