My head says Oregon wins by more than 7. But there's that nagging part of me that knows it's crazy to go against Urban Meyer in a big game, especially when he's the underdog. I think Oregon has the better talent, but Ohio State has the better coaching, and Ohio State can adapt much better than Oregon could.

If Oregon keeps losing offensive starters drug tests I might change my vote in the poll

It's amazing how everyone almost automatically is picking Oregon. Nearly everyone assumed Alabama would kill Ohio State and they were wrong and what happens? They do the same thing again and give Ohio State no chance.
Honestly, that was the main reason why I switched my pick to Ohio State. How long can people honestly not give Ohio State any credit/chance?

You saw how Sumlin fired that Pool Boy on Twitter I have zero problems with Sumlin firing him, or how he fired him. You don't get a job working in someone else's home and then blab about what they're doing on social media. And ifyou're a fool on social media, getting a public scolding in the same medium is warranted.

They do the same thing again and give Ohio State no chance. Honestly, that was the main reason why I switched my pick to Ohio State. How long can people honestly not give Ohio State any credit/chance? They absolutely have a chance, they've shown that they're great at adapting, are better at coach, and probably have a slight edge on defense. Cardale Jones is also showing hits of greatness, although he still looks like a guy who hasn't started that many games. It's just that I think Oregon is so much better than 'Bama that I can't help but think that they'll win. I have a hard time picking against Meyer, but a harder time picking against a team as good as Oregon. I wouldn't be surprised by either team winning it. If Ohio State goes up early, I think they win it because I don't think Oregon could adapt as well. But I'm not sure that's going to happen.

Honestly if Ohio State wins it, it would be. Fitting end to the first playoff season. Absolute streaking team that faced hurdle after hurdle. They adapted instantly to different timing in the most skilled positions but kept the same offense in place and not only didn't fall off, but got better. Defensive side they are a B1G classic. But, be fair. Recall closely the event of the first half in the sugar bowl. Alabama was outclassing them on almost every play either side. Ohio state would be close to drowning and Cardele Jones would throw out a pass under duress into the Bama secondary (yep the same one that gets burned easy that way). One catch later and they are in business. They would capitalize on the momentum. Twice within three minutes at the end of the half they did so with TDs. They went into the house with their chin up. Had they come out of the first one with an FG instead of a TD, I don't think the second TD before half comes and the entire game is different. But it did happen that way and that team was good enough to hold that fire during the half and bring it in the second half. Great team that faced a decision point and chose to fight and win

But it did happen that way and that team was good enough to hold that fire during the half and bring it in the second half. Great team that faced a decision point and chose to fight and win Honestly, that's exactly why my head and my gut are telling me two different things. As cliche as it is, Ohio State has won despite all the odds being stacked up against them. They'e shown a talent that very few teams times and they've shown it when it's counted most. They came back from a significant deficit against a team everyone had picked to crush them, they're on their third string QB, and they're from a conference that was being touted as absolute garbage season long. And all they've done is win. Not a garbage looking victory either, they've looked like they've been the number one seed when they have. You wouldn't think a traditional powerhouse would ever be able to truly play with the underdog stigma, but they've made it work somehow, and I'll feel terrible for Jones if they don't win because all he'll hear his entire career after that is how different that game would have been without the injuries. Imagine if, in the first year of the playoffs, the number 4 seed wins and basically shows that the previous system really was complete garbage at picking who deserves to go.
