Dear Zachary
The credits have a large Thank You section.. But this is one of those documentary features that I would not blame if it had a f*** You section in the credits.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters
Middling fantasy action movie with pretty terrible acting. Not as terrible as the first one, but still not good. Also, Giles from Buffy as a centaur.

It was definitely a great film.

For the JCVD Podcast; UNTIL DEATH
For personal fun: AUTOMATA - which is up on Netflix and was actually pretty good. Reminded me of those old sci fi flicks from the 70/80s.

Pain & Gain. I enjoyed it for what it was, not great or even necessarily accurate but I liked it.

Point and Shoot IMDB synopsis- An American sets out with his motorbike to find both adventure and his sense of manhood, leading him on an extraordinary journey he could not have imagined, including fighting in the Libyan Revolution.
The documentary was definitely compelling but frustrating as I wanted a wider view of events and for the interview part to go deeper. Perhaps it was inevitable given the nature of the film but it felt incomplete, still worth watching though.
The best part was showing how Hollywood and videogames influence many people's view of war to the point that even when the bullets are flying they just want something to share on Facebook.

Got Hercules and The Maze Runner from Netflix this week.
Hercules was alright, Maze Runner was pretty good.

took the little one to see Paddington.
and if you're playing at home, that's the 2nd movie in a row for me with an actor that played Dr. Who (the Hobbit had Sylvester McCoy).

Foxcatcher. Long as f*** and kinda boring. Didn't know it was Steve Carrell until the credits. He did amazing.

A Most Violent Year earlier today. It's a slow burn, but it's worth it. I'll be doing an official site review for it also!

Saw Whiplash and Ex Machina the other day. Ex Machina was very good, Whiplash was excellent and one of my favourite films of the last year or so. Going to finally watch The Double this week sometime.
