Largely I wanted to post this topic because it retrospect I have to laugh at myself. I may have posted this before, but its silly and I like sharing it. For a while I would tear up and want to cry after breaking up with this girl because of a song we looked up on youtube not long before we broke up. That touching, stirring ballad? I found this fact out in the car driving across the state with my buddies for a weekend at a comic convention lol. Can't figure out why this one song stayed with me and made me think of her since it has no actual significance to our relationship, but there it is. I'm sure some of you have simliar expieriences, and if anyone wants to share thats aces. If not, please enjoy the thoughts of a 6'3 260 man crying over our 16th President rocking out.

Not really weird, but this song definitely got me emotional before:
It got me emotional because for some strange reason, I got choked up at the end of "Set It Off," the movie this song was in.

For the longest time after my family had to put down a dog after she got hit by a car, the English version of a Japanese superhero show's ending theme would bring me to tears whenever it came up on my iPod while driving.

When my dog was dying, and we took him to the vet, there was a country song on the radio. I don't normally listen to country music, but I put the song on my iPod after finding out the title. It reminds me of the last few minutes of his life. Almost 3 years later, and I still miss him. </3

A melancholy melodic song that gives bittersweet nostalgic memories I guess.

This one... I'm not quite sure exactly: Honestly, I seem to recall that it was kind of a powerful video when you consider the topic. For me, this song always gets to me because it was played in my wedding (my wife had put together a slide show of us through the years to it and some Whitney Houston song - and no, that song was not "I Will Always Love You").

Morbid Angel's Day of Suffering. It reminds me of my first girlfriend.
For good reasons.

"Open Arms" by Journey and "Dreams" by Van Halen. I prefer Mariah's rendition of Open Arms.

This one... I'm not quite sure exactly: Let's be honest: it's because Madonna has two nip slips in the video.

"The Smiths - There is A Light That Never Goes out" always nearly kills me. So does "Asleep."However, Blaine Larson's "How Can You Get That Lonely" is a great way to make me cry.

Island In The Sun by Weezer reminds me of a really profound dream I had about 4 years ago when I was recovering from/dealing with a lot of personal trauma. A lot more went into it, but the main gist is I was on a vacation at Atlantic Beach, NC with my family, and we were all actually getting along and decided to extend the vacation an extra week. It was one of those dreams where you wake up and just want to bawl your eyes out because you realize it's a dream and it will never, ever happen that way.

Lili Haydn's Saddest Sunset gets me emotional and sentimental, such a beautiful song, as does Evanescence's My Immortal.

Heard this on the radio a few days before Mom passed. And I still continue to break down even when I hear it today, almost 7 years later.

Granted, it is a ballad.... but Oasis has never been a band I've been particularly high on.
However, to add to the list of dogs dying.... I came home from school one day, opened the kitchen door and saw him laying on the floor dead... he was old, and we knew he didn't have a lot of time left... I just didn't think I'd be the one to find him, and not on that day....
Well, once we were finished with taking care of him... I still had to do my paper-route. I'd listen to music and build videos in my head to make it more fun, this song came on and all I could think of was a sappy montage video of him and myself.... so to this day, this song gets me kinda emotional.
