Ugh. Looking at this thread with a fresh face, I can see how I stepped out of line. Y'all are right. Accidents happen, and no one's perfect. I know I made a big mistake calling someone I don't even know "trash". Caught in the heat of the moment yet again, I guess :/ It's not a big deal, everyone gets heated like that about something. For what it's worth I kinda' feel bad now about my initial snarky reply.

Maybe Bryan shouldn't be doing shit like this for a throwaway match on Raw It was his first match back, so it was a pretty big deal, but I do hope he doesn't go as all out as he did before the injury. He wrestled on SmackDown last week

Great in the ring, great on the mic and easily the top 5 in the company. There is no case closed, he is not garbage and the simple fact you accuse the MAN of being garbage based on this is disturbing. This. Dude's awesome in the ring, awesome on the mic and has a good look. He's awesome on the mic if somebody else is writing his promos since the stuff he's doing himself is awful and repetitive, look is honestly pretty goofy, largely pretty bad in the ring. That said, if that dive was screwed up it looked like it was more on Bryan's end, and it didn't go wrong anyway so what's it matter?

Still had 2.675 million viewers though so it's not like "no one" saw it really. I think SmackDown's a show that's watched practically only by casuals at this point, but it's still watched

Almost nothing that happens on SmackDown ever gets brought up, stuff is constantly straight rehashed from it, and Cena barely ever bothers to appear on there (and similarly Punk rarely ever did so either) because his stuff on the side is deemed more important than it. It's basically just akin to how back in the day they'd show you house show footage to encourage you to pay money for when they came to your town.

PG does not hinder character growth, and I'm sure he probably could get away somewhat with evolving the character in at least some ways given the level of freedom he seems to have. True, he has done some genuinely great stuff, but he largely just completely phones it in at every turn - I don't see any reason to believe WWE would've told him, "No, you can't give an actual reason for attacking this guy, keep saying the same thing," yet would approve of his random singing and stuff; if anything they seem very in favor of the random unique things he does come up with given how heavily they marketed things like the, "Follow the buzzards," catchphrase and the, "Whole world in his haaaaands," bit. There are absolutely things he could be doing to advance the character - come up with a bit more of a backstory, point out specifics he doesn't like about people instead of just, "You're misleading these people, John!" every week, or whatever else. And hell, even if he can't improvise it, pitch some of it as stories; they're clearly high enough on him they'd probably listen. I don't think he's untalented necessarily but he's definitely lazy.

Well, there are obvious exceptions, just at the same time you basically had them completely ignoring Bryan having already been in action on SmackDown. They'll hype stuff sometimes certainly but at the same time they seemed to completely pass on mentioning how good he looked on SmackDown, how he made Kane tap there, or anything like that and I don't think they brought it up when Reigns and Big Show were fighting either. And yes, I know they brought up the Sin Cara mini feud in Barrett's match later in the show, was speaking in generalities.

He has though, on TV he has established he is a demon possessing a man and on twitter he outright admitted Bray was the demon in Husky Harris. The stories of childhood are the demon and he has referenced Samael several times. I am not sure how far WWE today will allow a character that is a demon possessing a man that engages in pro wrestling to evolve as beyond what Bray has already said, the next step is Ministry of Darkness-esque segments that were removed from UK TV. This is a company that has taken a decade - 10 actual years - to finally use Cena being a dick friend as a character trait. I would not say Bray being stuck in neutral is via his laziness. He has grown more in two years than Kofi has in about eight. Kofi has now reached speaking status after being a smiling wave for longer than most of his fans have been alive.

Erm how can you blame Wyatt for that? Daniel twisted into a place Bray wasn't in.

How can anyone say he's a decent worker after THAT disaster? Let's not even make an attempt to catch someone who's just came back from a career threatening injury! Great idea, lardass! I'd welcome a jobber demotion for that trash. Why are you blaming Bray, when it was Bryan who did some bizarre turn in midair which detracted from the excitement of the move?
