IDGAF.
Show and Kane casually placing people out of the ring was hilariously awesome.

They actually managed to top the stupidity of last year. Incredible.

IDGAF. Show and Kane casually placing people out of the ring was hilariously awesome. I found it symbolic of what I believe is Creative's opinion of us as a whole.

I respect Kane and Big Show and all they've contributed to wrestling over the last 20 years or so. Surefire Hall Of Famers, without a doubt.
But I don't know what else they can contribute that they haven't done already.

After beating down both Ambrose and Reigns - I'm kayfabe questioning why they chose to eliminate Ambrose first? Isn't Big Show feuding with Reigns? Isn't Reigns the bigger threat of the two guys?
From a storytelling point of view it telegraphed the outcome as soon as Ambrose hit the floor.

Plan is to replicate the audience desire to see Reigns beat Batista last year. Here's the thing Vince doesn't get: the chants last year didn't happen because the crowd loved Reigns. People weren't cheering for Reigns. They were cheering for Not Batista. They would have done the same thing if the final two had been Batista and Heath Slater. But Vince heard a Roman Reigns chant, and spent the next 12 months blindly "giving the fans what they want". You know what's worse? There's a very good chance the exact same thing happens next year. Rusev got a good reaction when he came back at the end. So now, after the obligatory Unstoppable Monster Gets Fed To John Cena storyline, we're going to get Rusev seeing the error of his ways, turning pro-America, getting a long boring as hell feud with Big Show which includes Rusev making poop jokes, and winning the Rumble next year, because that's what we want, right Vince?

I always hate this spot. I hated it when Bray eliminated Harper, too (if Harper was even on his side and I'm still not super clear on that) and when Stardust tried to eliminate Goldust.
If you have an ally, you keep him until you are the only ones left. But every damn year, heels do this, and it's always stupid.

"You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain"
It's sad, I respect both guys but Kane had been a long-term favourite for years. I was into the possibility of his beating the rumble record since his performance in 2001 and the past few years they've ignored it and not even entered him. Then it finally comes and I no longer give a shit, sums up WWE really with the way they take everything I like and undermine it until I stop caring.
At least they both had the chance to become heroes though, better than all the guys that I cared about this time last year getting booked into oblivion before they even had the opportunity.

I was for sure the final two were going to be Bryan and Reigns, in order to keep the fans into the match and keep them on their feet. Or hell, have Rusev eliminate Big Show and Kane, and the final two be Rusev and Reigns. Or Reigns/Ziggler, or Reigns/Ambrose. Just unceremoniously throwing guys out of the ring like their garbage bags jut didn't make sense at all. Hell, having Rusev come back in to be eliminated right away was just terrible writing. If they had a good 5 minute fight between the two, than Reign's won, at least the fans would have been into it.
Having the Kane and Big Show in the final 3 just added that final nail in the coffin to a already predictable Royal Rumble. It's like, they didn't care anymore.

All it needed was Mark Henry in there and you'd have the retirement squad.

Would have been funny how big a pop there would have been if Show punched Reigns and then Kane/Show dumped him out.

Even my friend, a girl who I got into wrestling who stopped the night after WM last year, was floored when I told her about Big Show and Kane brawling, she understood.
This company is ridiculous.

You could just see the desperate strategy that went into it. Eliminate Bryan early enough so the crowd could pick a new favorite later. Failed because they waited too long to send out Ambrose or Ziggler or anyone else with any fire and heat. Show and Kane, guaranteed to be people the crowd didn't want to win, do heel eliminations. Nobody left except for Reigns, Show, and Kane. Plan is to replicate the audience desire to see Reigns beat Batista last year. This fails because...people actually believed Batista could win. They could get behind Reigns because he was a true underdog. Kane and Show are not winning. Crowd couldn't care less. Reigns wins, a short pop of relief is quickly turned to anger and apathy. This x 1000.

Kane and Big Show in the final three would only have 'worked' if they had eliminated all of the fan facvourites (Ziggler, Ambrose etc) and then Daniel Bryan 'overcame the odds' and eliminated the two big dominant monsters. Having them eliminate the fans favourites (including Bryan) only yo have Roman Reigns eliminate them just doesnt work

The problem with a lot of the booing for the Big Show and Kane was that it happened during moments where they were being heels. I think Vince is so ignorant that he saw it as the crowd buying in to his two monster heels.
The Rumble was awesome in it's failure.
