I looked at some weather snow totals, they could have pulled off RAW. The blizzard is turning out to be a bust, and during the times of the show the totals were not bad at all at the arena, and for 2 hours after the show it would have been safe to drive. Totals are starting to get larger now, but they could have held the show.

No they could not. The government shut down every mode of transport short of walking so no one could get home from the shows legally.

I'm sure they could have gone on with the show and wanted to but I was under the impression that decision was taken out of WWE's hands by the local authority imposing a travel ban for the state.

If I am not mistaken, the travel ban did not go into effect until midnight. The legality of travel bans are in question as well.

Sorry, I confused it with the time my governor made it. I still think this nanny state travel ban is crap though. But that rant is for another forum, and another time. Don't remember travel bans 20 years ago when "men were men" lol There was only 3 inches by the time RAW would have got out, I checked it on the Weather Channel. Hindsight is 20/20 though. Better safe than sorry

They're calling for three feet, why risk it? They banned travel where I live for two days last year. It was too cold for salt trucks to be of any use and the snow was coming down too fast for plows to keep up. That would lead to accidents and stranded drivers. And even if you just advise not to leave your house there would be morons that still would. Sometimes you gotta treat adults like children to keep them safe.

Better safe than sorry I always believe it is better to err on the side of caution and I prefer it when the government forces people to evacuate. I saw what Katrina did and personally I wish they would have forced people to leave New Orleans back then. Not worth it, especially for wrestling.

"Better to be safe than sorry" yadayada Exactly- with blizzard warnings, it's better to start preparing an hour too early than an hour too late. If the people in Hartford let the travel ban run early so people could go to Raw, and then you had the WWE roster and thousands of fans trapped in the XL Center tonight, the WWE AND the state of Connecticut would be vilified for allowing this to happen. (It's why I, myself, got out to my mom's house at 6 am today, solely to make sure I got there before the storm, rather than even take a risk like last year- where I lost heat, lost power, and got a bad case of food poisoning from the food I bought to ride out the storm in case I lost power to cook.)

If I heard someone died or got seriously hurt so they could go see some shitty ass Raw, I'd be so sad. It was for the best.

Ambrose used the Appalachian Trail to get back so quickly using what he calls "Cereal" ( Stims )

Even if the Travel Ban went into effect 1 hour or 2 hours after Raw, that still isn't enough time for some people to get back home in time. Plus I'd imagine traffic would be pretty brutal as well and a couple of accidents would happen. I wish travel bans would happen here because it's honestly a very good cost effective idea. Less accidents on the road/cars on the road equals a faster and better job of clearing out all the snow on the roads.

also on wwe's end wrestler's and staff all travel differently. So it might have been possible to make raw but who knows what travel arrangements would be like leaving the show. Maybe important flights are canceled, road ways closed, ect
