Now EVERYTHING is now part of the DC universe I'd like to see them used.
just keep "multiversity" and make it a different story in a different universe each 1/2 months kinda thing
- Nightwing in Bludhaven (Pre infinite crisis) - The Flashpoint universe - Classic captain marvel
etc

I've got to laugh that there's an ad for Midtown Comics in the Star Wars books telling you to use the code Jedi for a discount, and it's good through March 31, 2015.
Marvel's been killing it with Star Wars, Leia, and Vader. Really looking forward to what they've got in store for their Lando series.

I'm not a HUGE fan, but I figured I'd give the comics a try because I like the writers. They have exceeded my expectations, for sure.

ok, guys. this is something I don't do often, but I could use a few suggestions about an indy series or 2 to start reading. I'm already reading Chew, Rat Queens and Saga so no need to suggest those. I'm mostly into horror, noir and weird science stuff these days. no capes, I already have enough superhero books

Spider-Man RYV #1 {Spoiler} The book opens with the happy family of Mary Jane, Peter and the baby just now being able to talk at the dinner table. Spidey is cleaning his web shooters and they are generally happy. Peter heads to the J.J. Mayors office to give some photos when Peter finds out heroes are disappearing. He heads to the Avengers mansion and finds out the entire X-Men and others are just flat out gone. Most of the Avengers are still there, including Namor and Moon Knight, and they find out the villain is at a tower in the city. Iron Man suggests Mary Jane and the baby move into the mansion and he would have to give up his secret identity. They are set to rush off when Hawkeye reports the prisoners of Rykers island escaped. Spidey instantly realizes Venom will be going straight for his family.
Spidey rushes to save them and finds Venom there with his family. He hits Venom so hard he breaks his hand. Mary Jane rushes off with the child and they jump onto a fire truck. Venom chases after her and she blares the horn at him shocking him. Spidey punches Venom into the burning building and when MJ tells him there is no one inside he pulls a support down and crushes Venom. It kills him.
Meanwhile the omega villain calling himself Regent is fighting the Avengers. He can steal powers and has the X-Men powers. He rips Hulks arm off!
Spidey escapes the burning building and looks up to the fight the Avengers were having. They are all gone.
Cut to a year or two later, Vulture snatches a purse and Peter does nothing. We then see he's teaching his daughter to look both ways before crossing the street. We then see a wider shot of the city and Regent has taken over. To be continued!

SW #3 {Spoiler}Scene #1 As in the preview, Doom and Strange are at castle Doom, talking about holding up the world, when Strange gets notification that things have gone upside down in Utopolis
Scene#2 Strange goes to utopolis with the Thors and uses the Eye of Doom (somehow he lost the Eye of Agamotto) to find that Miles had stowed away on the Cabal life raft...
Scene#3 Doom visits with Susan... we find out that he has told her that he wasn't always God!!! We find out that he used Johnny Storm for the sun and then we see....DOOM'S FACE
Scene#4 We see that Strange had found the 610 raft 3 years ago... and now that the Cabal raft had been opened, he sees reason to open this one... The 610 heroes emerge, having been in stasis for 8 YEARS. The crew finds out they've survived into a new world...and they are quite surprised when they find out that DOOM is GOD. Strange has a hard time consoling Reed (of course) but remarks that Doom is really good at playing god
Scene#5 The cabal are at camp, eating a felled beast. Thanos is totally in charge now. The Thors come

I'll have to check out Deadly Class. as is, I've added Pretty Deadly to my list, it sounds promising.

Nailbiter continues to be an OUTSTANDING horror comic, or just a comic at all really.
BOOM! Studios dropped a book called "Broken Frontier" that I really enjoyed.

It's like that "Jizzed in my Pants" song, Marvel could feel a cold breeze and it would give them inspiration to release new #1 issues.

I'm thinking having Coulson there represents the fact that SHIELD (the comic he leads in) will be continuing on in some way, rather than it being a representation of Phil having his own solo title.

In all the hubub about RYV Peter kicking ass, everyone forgot Conway's contributions continued also this week in "Spiral". {Spoiler}Felicia fans will be well pleased with much more down to earth and less mustache-twirly evil she is here. Granted, it's established in this issue this is set before she tried to burn Aunt May, so Peter being easy with her and letting her go is easier to swallow here than it would be if it were set afterwards, but it still makes him look really stupid in hindsight because Felicia then nearly murders his aunt and step-uncle.
