I get the feeling Manzel will end up in Dallas by the end of Day 2 of the draft, while Cleveland grabs someone from the top of the second run of QBs. Dallas needs someone to back up Romo and look toward the future and 2 will easily get that done. Whether it works out or not I do not know but I just see the Cowboys FO making the much needed move.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, "some smart people" believe Cowboys RE Greg Hardy's ten-game suspension could be reduced "anywhere from two to six games" following his appeal.
A longtime NFL personnel executive told Bob McGinn he sees JaMarcus Russell in Jameis Winston.

NJ.com's Mark Eckel passes along a "rumor making its rounds in NFL personnel meetings" of the Eagles trading Sam Bradford to the Browns for the No. 19 overall pick in the draft.

Manziel is trouble with a capital T, and he's got a long way to go to convince otherwise. The Cowboys showed me last season that they've learned not to make the same stupid mistakes that got them into mediocrity for the past 15 years, and I truly believe they've changed for the better. This is a team that's serious about rebuilding and growing into a championship-caliber team, and doing something like giving up a pick for Manziel would be a humongous step backwards. It would say to the rest of the NFL "Are the Cowboys serious about building themselves back as America's Team? Oh nah, there goes Jerry Jones being Jerry Jones again," and that's the last thing we need.

Manziel at the right price gives Dallas a far better option behind him, someone that fits that Romo style and can learn from him because you're going to need someone to take over from him soon. I get it is a very Jerrah thing to do but I don't think for the long term future of the franchise, trading a 2 or a 3 for him is as outrageous as drafting him with a one.

Yeah, being realistic, Tony's got 2 really good seasons left in him. I just feel a lot safer going with a QB in next year's draft than going with someone like Manziel. But hey, anything can happen. Maybe by September, Johnny can get his head straight. I doubt it but it's a nice thought.

If they turn Sam in to a 1st rounder with their own they could package that to a team for Mariota. If (and thats a big if) it happens the GM needs to get an Olympic gold medal for turning draft bust Bradford for a 1st rounder to make a deal to get Mariota.

Honestly what I can see happening is San Diego trades Rivers for the #2 pick and gets Mariota. Philly however trades up with Bradford and takes the #6 pick from the Jets to get DeVante Parker or Kevin White (Cooper will be off the board by then). Trading up to get Sam Bradford just seems like such a Jets like move.

I despise Dallas, but if they can get Manziel for the right price it's a good move for those reasons. Yeah he wasn't great in Cleveland, but being in Dallas means he'll be away from a horrible offensive playbook, where they basically had him hand off or when he passed they didn't want him to use his legs.

Dolphins VP of football operations Mike Tannenbaum said the team hasn’t decided whether to give Ryan Tannehill an extension. Yes, because they have better options available.

And I told Stephen A Smith how wrong he was since Brady didn't have a family when he won those Super Bowls and saw the president. Now that he has one, yeah.....president can see him another day.

There ARE people, myself included, that think it's entirely possible (I stop just short of saying "likely", but it wouldn't shock me even a little bit) Cooper is there at 6. Raiders are the only team I can see in that top 5 taking a WR. But even then, Philly would need to give up more than just Bradford and their 1st to make that big a jump up the board. Bradford, swap 1st, and then 2 or even 3 later picks, sure. But that would certainly be a "we're going all-in for a Super Bowl right this damn minute" move ala the Falcons humongous jump to get Julio Jones a few years ago. And I don't think they're there yet, especially with the QB roulette they seem to be setting up over there. If they had an established QB, different story. And I'm not saying these teams will (especially since they haven't gotten this far by making moves like this) but a team like the Saints or Broncos with QBs on the decline or the Packers and Colts who just need one push of talent could do something like that. With the WR class so great, you can either argue that it means the WRs at the very top aren't so important to get OR that it makes getting ones with elite ceilings like Cooper, White or Parker even more important. As crazy as it sounds, I don't think there's a single team in the NFL that would not take 2 or 3 seasons of being "behind" to have one shot at the Super Bowl. And if one of these teams that are knocking on the door of a Super Bowl are convinced they need just 1 good-great WR to get there (or even the Pats and Seahawks thinking 1 is all they need to stay there), they'll try to do it. U think your sarcasm meter is on the fritz. To me the Dolphins have hit their ceiling with Tannehill. But you're (both) right about there not being options unless they trade the farm to jump up in a draft for a QB (not necessarily this draft). Further proof of the theory that the very worst thing to be in the NFL is in the middle of the pack.

Citing six "high-level NFL sources," Yahoo's Charles Robinson reports the Cowboys and Cardinals are not willing to pay the price the Vikings have demanded to trade Adrian Peterson.
