I had season tickets for Orlando Rage games and had a blast at every last one of them. Got my best friend into regular football because of it. Somewhere, I still have my black XFL jersey but my Rage jersey is gone But yeah, the games are out there on Youtube

They only had 8 Teams. My little league baseball association had more teams then that. Birmingham Thunderbolts Chicago Enforcers Las Vegas Outlaws Los Angeles Xtreme Memphis Maniax New York/New Jersey Hitmen Orlando Rage San Francisco Demons Only two more teams than the Rollergames roster.

The also tried to have Jesse Ventura start a fight with one of their coaches who basically ignored him from waht I remember I believe that involved the coach from New York. If my memory serves me right the NY coach kicked a field goal instead of going for a touchdown on 4th down and Ventura just blasted the coach for it. At the end of the game Venteura ran the coach down and was harassing him about it. The funny thing is New York won the game.

It was definitely a work
In the final, the Orlando Rage were leading the Los Angeles Xtreme going into the final quarter, but the Chicago Enforcers did a run in, and the Xtreme got the win.
Vince then appeared on the big screen and laughed and said "the Rage just learned, you don't cross the boss!", while Jim Ross yelled "Son of a bitch, Mr McMahon has stolen this one for the Xtreme dammit!!!"

I remember wanting to like the XFL so much... I saw the first two weeks of games. The funny thing is, the first game broke rating records. By the end, it broke rating records too, but from being the least watched Prime Time program.
The football wasn't really good, but it was fun for what it was, I thought.

I'm kicking myself because there was a temporary shop that opened up here just over Christmas that was selling wrestling shirts, replica belts etc. One of the things I saw in there was I shit you not, XFL team stickers, temp Tattoos and a couple of Jerseys, I should've bought 'em

The championship game should have had the quarterback on one of the teams taking off his jersey to reveal the jersey of the other team, turning on his team and helping the opponents win the game.

Vince has never seemd to cometely understand that even though people do watch sports to be entertains, that doesn't mean they want sports entertainment.

All I remember from the XFL is "He Hate Me." Who was the "he" that hated that guy exactly?

All I remember from the XFL is "He Hate Me." Who was the "he" that hated that guy exactly? I think that he explained it one time as whoever he was up against. It's a shame that he had to use his government name when he got to the NFL.

It was the same game as NFL, with a few different rules. No extra points after TD's, no halo for kick/punt returners, college overtime rules, and some other minor things. Mostly, it was just bad football, since all the good players were in the NFL, it had the stigma as the reject's league. I think there was still a halo rule, but there was no fair catch. If memory serves, on one of the first punts in the league a player was flagged for tackling the returner without giving him a halo. Then announcers sounded sheepish having to explain that there was a halo, because up to that point, the whole tone of the broadcast was emphasizing how 'smash-mouth' the football action was. They even touted how there was no fair catch several times before that flag. Huh, so it's even more confusing than I thought. No wonder there were a lot of penalties.
