So, I got in Yoshi's New Island from Gamefly. Took my time about getting the game when I meant to buy it due to hearing about how it was a tired rehash, but figured it'd still be fun, just feel like more of the same. But actually playing a little of it... Man, it really isn't fun, it just feels like the exact same game if it was ugly and had bad controls and boring level layouts. And I liked Yoshi's Island DS so it's not like any sequel's instantly doomed for me or something, it's just so far feeling like a really poor attempt at one. I too thought Yoshi's New Island was one of the most disappointing sequels of all time. It is as you said: it's just like the first game but with most of the fun sucked out of it. The awesome coloring book inspired visuals are replaced with washed out pastel polygons, the uptempo and exciting music is replaced by unmemorable dreck and the innovative and exciting boss encounters are replaced with boring and uninspired giants. Needless to say I didn't waste any time trading in this game for something better (IE Smash Bros for 3DS)

So when I get another 3DS (I sold my previous one a few months ago since I was in a pickle money-wise), should I just go with the New XL or should I pick up an old XL (that NES one is still out there)? Go with the N3DS XL. The 3D on the new one is unreal, I've gone from never using it to always using it since I got my new one. Plus, I bet it will only be 6months or so before we start seeing more New 3DS exclusives, so unless you find a retard good deal on the old XL, spend the extra $30-50 and grab the new one

I really wish they hadn't gipped us on the New 3DS here. I want to upgrade eventually but I don't want an XL. Then again given how much of a fight you have to go through with the thing's SD card by now I'm not actually sure that I want to upgrade. Sure as hell am not wanting to do it for Xenoblade, had that in from Gamefly for like three months, barely could bring myself to touch it, and eventually sent it back.

Given the fact that I probably only need to take the back off once to put in a new micro SD card, I will probably be okay. That and the whole AC adapter thingy...but that can be fixed easily as well since Amazon has charge cables that can be used with a USB port.

Anyone play Wonderful 101?
I'm thinking about picking it up, but I'm not too sure about it even after playing the demo.

Had my Sheik Amiibo arrive today, still waiting on Ike, King Dedede, Mega Man, and Sonic to show up. I also went to Gamestop to try to get a new 3DS, but I'm on a waiting list instead, they were cool enough to still let me trade my 2DS in for $75 credit towards a new 3DS at least. Its ok to me because I'm not in a huge hurry to get one.

Just a quick thought. I'm wondering if part of the issue with the supply problems with Amiibo's are due to the situation on the west coast with the cargo ports being closed due to the dockworker situation.

The gold Mario Amiibo is a real product, and will be exclusive to Wal-Mart.

It's going to unlock demos and not full games if I am reading that correctly.

Well, that would be good for the younger audience who have never played those games to get a chance at them, at the very least.

I've been saying this for a while. Finally. Wonder what Wii Fit trainer would unlock.
Wait its just a demo. Nintendo you cheap mother f***ers. Or are people that are buying all those copies of Urban Champion and Ice Climber at 5 bucks keeping you afloat

I'm curious as to how everyone is enjoying their Club Nintendo purchases, especially if they were a cheap way to try something new out.
I'm enjoying The Last Ranger.

Just got 2 emails from Gamestop. My King Dedede Amiibo order is delayed til SUMMER, and Ike is delayed until spring. I can live with that, as long as I get Sonic, and Mega Man in a reasonable amount of time after the 20th.

I already missed out on getting Rosalina thanks to douches on eBay buying up ten of the things at a time to jack up the price. Whatever ridiculous fee I end up having to shell out for Lucina, I will, not missing out on her.
Unless her price'd be higher than her Figma figure or at least in competition with it. I want to get that thing too and that's way more worth it.
