That both seems eye in the sky in terms of why would Konami ever do that and completely logical considering Konami isn’t exactly going to be developing many games in the next bit that aren’t Yu-Gi-Oh and PES based.

So Yakuzi 0 is only $9.99 right now. Good deal? I've never played the Yakuzi series.
Hmmmm, a bloodbourne castlevania. That could be pretty damn cool, but I'd rather have more metroidvanias.

Here's the YouTube link for the PS5 deep dive. According to the time stamp, it's going to be around 50 minutes.

Cerny is explaining the technical reasoning for why they put the technology into the PS5 and I bet there's people going "show it already!"

I didn't understand the super technical stuff but man if Mark Cerny doesn't have the most soothing ASMR voice in the industry.

www.theverge.com/2020/3/18/21183181/sony-ps5-playstation-5-specs-details-hardware-processor-8k-ray-tracingFrom the looks of it, the Xbox Series X will be more powerful on paper, but I think Sony has the advantage in terms of game developers on staff. Microsoft is still strapped in terms of variety, and if anything, Sony, for instance, no longer having MLB the Show exclusive to their console may benefit the Series X since they have been sitting on a MLB property for ages. My point is; while specs don't make the system, the PS5 may be pushed as the more economical console this generation to the consumer while being geared as a more "tech friendly" machine for developers. Still, that backwards compatibility, oof. Is the PS3 that difficult to reverse engineer?

linkComparing the Xbox X and PS5. Basically, the XBox X has a slight edge on power, but PS5 has an edge on SSD speed. I'll sum it with the end part of the article: Of course, we shouldn't forget what's most important: the games. If the rumor is true about Sony courting Konami, that for me, gives them a major advantage. I've always been a fan of the games Sony and the Japanese developers publish (Square Enix, Capcom, etc). Nintendo had the least powerful system this generation, but they're Nintendo. They made me a happy switch owner off the strength of BOTW, Mario Odyssey, SSBU, and Dragon Quest XIs.

Yeah, the biggest strength of Sony this gen was the sheer quality and quantity of first party exclusives. Really, that's always been the PlayStation's adavantage over Xbox. Xbox has Halo, Gears of War and...uh...Sunset Overdrive? Granted, Sony had a few missteps themselves (looking at you The Order 1886.).
Now, the SSD thing is actually what will define next-gen, imo. It will possibly change the way games are designed, due to mainly the fact that it will feasibly cut out loading screens of any kind, so devs won't have to work around arbitrary pit stops mid-gameplay anymore.
As an aside, I just purchased a Pro after not having any kind of gaming system for a while due to my launch PS4 finally giving out. I didn't want to wait til PS5/Xbox SX released (esepcially if they get pushed back) and had the money to do so and figured "why not". I really wish Sony would've done something different with the u.i. over the years, instea dof keep the exact same layout/sound this whole time. It's gotten really stale and I've always preferred the PS3's XMB anyway, tbh lol.

It makes sense though, considering they've already been highly associated with Sony in the past. I'm still wanting a new infamous, despite no one really clamoring for one overall lol. With that (though it probably wasn't *that* recent) and the possible purchase of major Konami assets, Sony is out here like Thanos collecting the Infinity gems. They are the only ones seemingly caring about consoles anymore with Xbox becoming more of a dedicated PC-lite experience and Nintendo just doing their own thing, so it's weird they keep going in so hard..but I ain't exactly complaining if it means we keep getting high quality first party titles like God of War or Horizon Zero Dawn lol. Chiral He looks exactly like Dana Carvey in that video, it was kinda distracting lol.

I'm not feeling a new console right now. Unless PS5 launches with Gran Turismo 7 (as some rumors seem to indicate), I really doubt I'll have the enthusiasm. Limited backward compatibility also bums me out.
Everyone is talking about ray tracing but I'd rather play every new game at a blazing fast frame rate.
I bought a Xbox One X half a year ago and really like Game Pass, but since all of MS's exclusives launch simultaneously on PC, I'd much rather stick with their PC or even XB1 ports.

I'm probably going to wait 2-3 years for the PS5, I have a huge PS4, let alone PS3 backlog to get through first

Made a few PS4 purchases, just because I worry about a slower internet (after reading how Netflix has lowed the quality of its shows to cope with a larger load) that download times might go through the roof later on.
So, downloading Valkyria Chronicles 4 and Civ 6--both nice long games.

Quarantine Game #1 beat; Replayed Arkham Knight. The game aged better than I remember it. I actually enjoyed the battank for the most part this go-round. There’s still zero percent chance I’ll ever achieve Knightfall Protocal because fxxx The Riddler. That goes for all the Arkham games.

If anyone is looking for a stupid good deal, Assassin's Creed Odyssey gold is 22.99 till tomorrow. So you get the game, all dlc and the AC 3 remake for 23 bucks seems like a slam dunk deal.
I also bought the last guardian no idea if it's any good or not.

Sounds like PlayStation Access accidentally released the Plus titles for April.
Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally 2.0
