So for anyone getting NBA 2K21, how are you doing it? Are you going to go for the deluxe PS4 edition so you can get the upgrade to PS5 or are you just straight out buying the PS5 version?

Finished Outer Worlds... it was fine. The one-note quirkiness got a little boring come the end of the game, and it was a lot of loading screens between the transitions between all the different areas in the game.
Pavarti was a great character. Loved her.

Assassin's creed Odyssey has consumed me. It's a really fun game, probably top 3 AC of all time for me, but let me be the first to say it's particularly long.

If it doesn't get any more exciting, I may just throw in the towel on it and start Last of Us II.

So despite my earlier whining, I managed to beat and platinum Battle for Bikini Bottom.
I decided to give Resident Evil 6 another shot. It's a bit better now that I have a better grasp on the combat and actually managed to get someone to play online coop, but there are still so many flaws.
First, the UI is so unintuitive, weapon wheels have been around forever yet they went with a crappy cross system and f*** that herb system even with the shortcuts. Hand to hand is clunky, enemy grab attacks suck, and enemies dont feel like their reacting to damage and instead feel like I'm shooting jelly. Also for being the most actiony RE, it takes like 15 minutes to start the actual game. REmake 2 and 3 were slower paced and they still took less time to get going, even with RE3's long ass intro.

I bought RE6 on sale a long while back... I couldn’t believe how bad it was. I had heard about it, but didn’t believe it. Even playing co-op with a buddy (which saves a lot of games for me) I couldn’t even play through Leon’s story before bailing on it.
I do think if it was called “Generic Action Shooter!” instead of carrying the Resident Evil name I love that would make a huge difference. My brain can’t accept THAT as an RE title.

Found out I had The Order 1886 in my library. This game still looks incredible even after 5 years.

Found out I had The Order 1886 in my library. This game still looks incredible even after 5 years. looks gorgeous even after all these years, and IMO it was an extremely fun game that doesn't deserve alot of the flack it gets. The Thermite Rifle is a freakin' awesome weapon. I think it got a bad rap for: 1) being too short 2) sequel baiting for a game we'll now never get I'm know I'm in the minority, but I don't need everygame I play to be a 100 hour marathon. Games like this were a perfect palate cleanser for me after playing way way too many open-world games

A game that sold itself on steampunk weaponry & supernatural foes & yet 95% of the time you're shooting the same tired old human soldiers with the same assault rifle/shotgun/pistol/sniper setup didn't have anything to do with it? A game you can literally count on 1 hand the number of lycan encounters & zero hands any other inhuman fights? & 2 of those werewolves were little more than QTEs? 1886 marketed itself as being something different & fresh & new & exciting & it wasn't. It ended being the same shit we do in every other shooter, that's why it failed.

The Order was a fun palate cleanser of a game. Would have been pretty upset to have payed full price for it though.
10 days ‘til Tsushima. Maybe I’ll try to cross Control off my list, even though I hit a frustrating brick wall of an area.

Finished off The Sinking City. It was decent enough, one of those games where you can see the potential for it being much more than it ended up. They could have removed the combat completely and I wouldn't have missed it, and the endings are completely forgettable. Despite that, I would say it's worth a punt if it's on sale.
I had a quick go on Injustice and I just can't get a feel for it with the DualShock controller.

Deleted RE6, f*** this game so hard. What did it? Just that it wasn't horror game? I hate the gameplay. I would be fine if it was just an action game, but it’s just not fun to me.

Since it's talked on this thread a lot, if anybody is interested in the Assassin's Creed franchise, this sale may be the best way to start.
Odyssey has the Ultimate Edition (which bundles both Gold AND the Deluxe editions) for $30 and if you really want bang for your buck, they have a bundle that consists of all the PS4 AC games (from Black Flag to Odyssey) for only $60 (originally $200).
Me? I went a little retro and picked up Far Cry 3's PS4 port for $3.
