Anyone got any game suggestions? Stuck at a loose end for something to play. I was playing Rebel Galaxy Outlaws but, it's very repetitive and I am already bored. Plus, apparently they have removed the massive frigates and huge ships which I enjoyed in the first game and gone for solely fighter combat. So that's killed my interest. Type of games I enjoy at the moment are story driven games -- either RPG games or "Life is Strange" style games. I also quite like strategy games, as long as it doesn't have a massive learning curve (If I have to watch a YouTube tutorial to find out how to play the game, then the game has failed--everything should be covered in the in-game tutorial or drip fed you in the story) I also like horror games, but I have played most of the well known ones on PS5. I like the idea of survival games, but so far have never really liked the execution (each one I have tried has been either too grindy or has had no real end goal or story. But a survival game with survival elements with a story might interest me) Love card games too, but again I think I have played most of the ones available on PS5. For RPG, do you like The Yakuza Series? The Like a Dragon games from them are fun.

Sly Cooper seems to be selling well, maybe there's hope for the franchise.

I usually don't pay extra for a PS4 > PS5 upgrade, but I already got Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut last year on the cheap and the PS5 upgrade was only $10. And damn what a big difference it makes not just in better graphics but way better lip syncing, the stuff with the PS5 controller, etc.
Just also goes to highlight how absurd it is for Sega to charge full price for the Persona 5 Royal PS5 with no free or discounted upgrade path for owners of the PS4 version. Calling that a "barebones update" is an insult to the word barebones.

I've been waiting for some other sports game besides Cricket (which is hella fun, but I don't know how a proper league is ran), and NHL 24, I believe, is the first sports game with character creation that has the correct spelling and pronunciation of my last name in my 30+ years of playing sports games. Typically, I always had to settle for something similar-sounding like Barton or Barnes, but hey, it's progress.

FF7R and MK11 did it, why couldn't they?

Don't you hate when you get stuck running around in circles in one part of a level because you forgot about the tiny, slightly concealed, not entirely obvious single entrance/exit of that area?
It happened to me in GOW: Ragnarok recently. What made it worse was that this particular realm has a mechanic where some paths are only accessible in one of the two configurations (think light/dark or past/present type situation), so I spent a load of time trying to find an undiscovered switching point that wasn't actually needed... or there.

I'm enjoying it myself so far overall and appreciate them adding more to differentiate it, but it's not topping the first one.

I just 14 days free PS Plus. Is that a new subscriber thing (got my PS5 in April)?
Also what games from there do you recommend (preferably than can be beaten in two weeks).

I probably should at least give GOW4 a look at some point but I've really always been completely put off by the decision to take what was a dumb fun slaughterfest series and make it a bloated self-important dad game. Just kind of reeks of, "We don't want fun, we want art!"

I just saw Mass Effect Trilogy is in my PS Plus library.
Was that a free game one month that I had forgot about? Or is it currently just one of the PS+ Extra titles and I never realised.
And, if anyone hasn't played it yet--Dredge is worth a play. It leaves PS+ at the end of the month I think.

Don’t usually buy indie games opening day unless something attracts me about it but Thank Goodness You’ve Arrived not only came out on PS4 today but was also discounted as a PS+ member so I took the plunge.
It’s a very acquired taste in humor at times (you’re a small dude solving puzzles for people in a small Yorkshire based town) but it has some of the weirdest and goofiest moments I’ve played in gaming this year. It’s basically really stupid in the best way possible.
Also, Matt Berry is in it in a role you can absolutely tell it’s his voice and all the better for it.
