Do they think that Reigns proving himself against Bryan will get the fans behind him? Is this leading to a Reigns heel turn? A Bryan heel turn? I don't get it.

Well, I came away tonight wanting Brock to destroy them both.
Something tells me that was NOT what I was supposed to think but, there you go.

Who knows?
Actually, that should be nobody knows, because I don't think anyone in creative has decided where they are going with it yet.

Fully admit up front that I haven't watched Raw since the end of the snowed in episode. So maybe there are things in the actual show that I could pick up on that would make things clear if I saw them.
But just from reading along the past three weeks .... I have no earthly idea what they're going for. Totally unlikable Roman Reigns, weirdly unlikable Daniel Bryan, and Brock main eventing Mania, I guess?
If nothing else it makes every story about them reacting to the Rumble as we go along and changing plans much more believable. Some of the stuff, in text anyway, makes no sense at all. It definitely doesn't feel well planned out.

they're probably just as much as confused as we are.
if they don't do the threesome at mania, then it's a waste of Bryan's main event time in recent weeks and making a rumble a farce if it isn't already

Make the Reigns side hate Bryan, the Bryan side hate Reigns and everyone cheer for a smörgåsbord of Brock Lesnar murder come Wrestlemania.
Nothing else makes sense. Reigns is acting like a moody bitch, Bryan is acting like an entitled dick and Brock is just begging someone to step up so he can claim a new trophy. Like I said in the RAW thread, this is shaping up to be like 27 where the champ doesn't matter.

After the Rumble WWE came to the cold hard reality that Roman Reigns isn't ready to main event. The tea leaves had been there for months but they chose to ignore them. So now they might have to throw Bryan in there at WM for a 3 way to carry the match, but in the process have made Bryan an unsympathetic character who is basically ripping off a rightful Rumble winner (after he himself was eliminated in 10 minutes with zero fanfare). This booking is making both guys look bad and it seemed like tonight Bryan had to flat out will a reaction out of the crowd.

And the thing is... Hunner and Steph are SO DAMNED UNNECESSARY.
I mean, sure. DBD shouldn't have been in the Marching of the Scrubs The Royal Rumble, but WWE thought they could be slick, book DBD as an upper midcard babyface and think people would just forget about that when Reigns won....
Okay, DBD was in the Rumble got eliminated. Fine. WWE gave themselves a shitty hand, but the least they could've done is salvage it with DBD challenging Reigns for his WM slot pretty much using the same reasons he did. With Roman actually accepting of his own accord without Hunner and Steph flittering about and talking shit. Roman accepts because not only would he think DBD would have a compelling argument to challenge for the shot at Lesnar, but because he doesn't want any nagging thoughts himself about whether or not DBD only lost out because of luck.
Roman could feel that if he could beat the guy who "never" lost the title...the guy who is the personification of babyface fire, he'd be ready to fight the 2014 Brock Edward Lesnar Man of the Year, Brock Lesnar.
But of course, they've gotta put over Hunner and Steph as smarter than everyone else so we end up with two faces acting like uninteresting assholes. I can only hope that once Fastlane is in the can WWE can commit to a WM main event. Just...UGH. This whole match would've been so much cooler to watch if we acutally didn't have evil authority figures having to do shit.

Roman pins Daniel Bryan, the fans erupt in cheers as the goat faced troll is defeated and can go back to the undercard. Vince then wakes up and knows the direction of the company for the next 12 seconds.

Shouldn't it be considered a good thing that we can't tell where this is going?
People here always complain about the WWE being too predictable at times.

Fans boo everyone. The entire roster is heels. Yet, somehow Sting trusts them all.

BTW, the fact that the Authority are a central part of this angle doesn't help either.

Shouldn't it be considered a good thing that we can't tell where this is going? People here always complain about the WWE being too predictable at times. Not when everyone involved are completely unlikeable except for the guy who's supposed to be the big bad heel. I mean, he's the only one not being a whiny, moody primadonna about everything. Unlike Reigns and Bryan. The predictability of the story means nothing if the story absolutely sucks.

Confuse the fans so much that they're more susceptible to Paul Heyman selling this match like the return of Jesus is on the line and try and transfer all that heat to Roman Reigns, somehow.

I don't even know if it's being predictable at this point. I don't mind a story going towards a logical conclusion as long as I like the people participating. It's just that...ugh. I don't want to watch as two of your top faces can't even be the most active characters in their own feud only because yep...The Authority's got to...authoritate.

Couldn't they just keep the Authority out of this feud and just have them be a part of the upcoming Sting angle, and maybe have the Anti-Authority Trio be a part of that, too?
