That's a bummer. I like Keith.

If I'm a Penn State fan or the University itself, I'm not trying to pick a fight with anybody. Ever. University had nothing to do with it. And again I get why people won't support Penn State, but to attack the students over THON (which is a completely student organized event that they are very proud of) was wrong.

I think Keith was in the wrong here, but I also think that ESPN should have followed Penn State's example and just look the other way.

He has a TV show that you have ultimate control over. Talk to him and make him label himself the worst person in sports the next night (for those that don't know, that is a nightly segment on his show that gives him an excuse to rant about shitty things people do in the name of sports, and yes, Penn St. gets mentioned in that segment from time to time).

So he has been fired from: ESPN MSNBC Al Gore's former network that he sold to Saudi oil barons and now he's suspended from ESPN AGAIN?!? I think only Vince Russo has been given more chances to screw up... He wasn't fired from ESPN, but his departure was not a pleasant one by any means, complete with some serious bridge burning. He WAS fired from Fox Sports, however.

At this point, he is heading toward such a bad reputation that he will only be able to get a local position at some extremely small market.

At this point, he is heading toward such a bad reputation that he will only be able to get a local position at some extremely small market. I was a little surprised to see this thread show up on a page 1 again, but browsed it just for fun. Does anyone know what his plans are? I would not be surprised if he simply said "F*** it! I'm starting my own online show!" Several other talented people that could not find a network (or like Keith could not keep a network by being hard to work with) have done alright for themselves doing so. I would say that MSNBC actually could greatly benefit from bringing him back but even if you ignored his terrible relationship with them it is not happening when you consider the fact that they have been jetisoning basically all hosts that are even remotely interesting (and many that were not but at least did not strike me a boot-lickers) in favor of trying to be the JV version of CNN (which is losing viewers themselves, so why copy that?)
