At the same time, let's not pretend that TV-level Disney animation was anywhere near the quality of the movies. Granted a lot of it depended on which particular studio an episode was sent to (like pretty much every 80s and 90s toon) but there were definitely variances in quality that you don't necessarily get with CG. Randomly watched an episode of the Timon & Pumbaa cartoon yesterday for the first time since it was on Toon Disney and good Lord, that has to be the nadir of 2D Disney TV animation quality. There was maybe one episode of that show that I felt was drawn well, it was when Timon and Pumbaa went to some gold mining town and Timon I think had a crisis of guilt because he wanted Pumbaa's share. That one was pretty good, but yeah, every other episode looked like ass.

Don't have a problem with it being CGI, as long as its good.

They did good work, but to me, it's just kinda weird without Peter Cullen. On the other hand, it's not like getting Cullen and Welker saved the Bayformer franchise, so..... ?? That was Michael Bay being an idiot.

There's something incredibly disjointing about seeing the hyenas dress in disguises and walk on two legs with character models that were clearly never meant to walk on two legs. The show was probably the nadir of writing quality too, for that matter.

I know he's not the most upright character, but some plots I was like "damn, dude."

First image. Definitely feels close to the Carl Barks design.

Not bad design though I think I'll have to see how the comic book designs look in motion to fully judge.

Can't complain about these designs at all. They feel like a cross between the old show and the more stylized direction they're going with the recent Mickey Mouse shorts, which rock.

First image. Definitely feels close to the Carl Barks design. Dammit, Donald. For the last time, stop riding on the roof through the jungle! Also, I thought Dewey was the booksmart one. Huey and he should switch spaces. Louie's fine. You can never really pinpoint him anyways.

I love Ducktales and all, but what does a guy have to do to get more Darkwing Duck?

Ooh.
That looks very nice. Looks like Donald will have a larger role? And Webby is the same age as H,L&D which is a nice change.
Also rather telling: no Launchpad in that image. Sure, he s a pilot, but a pic without him......is interesting.
Still bummed about the voice changes, but certainly not so much anymore. Definitely giving this a shot, and seeing traditional animation instead of CGI makes me even happier.

Is it bad that I want to see this premiere with a different new theme song just to see how pissed off everyone would get?
