Andre battle royals is the lower card match while this is the mid-card match.
Good that Bryan's in a ladder match so soon after his neck problem. Not quite booking Edge in one right when he needed to retire but they've tried at least.

I didn't call the ladder match, but I definitely started a thread about multiple opponents right here in the WWE forum!

Considering Barrett, Ziggler, Ambrose, and hopefully Bryan are involved, I'm going to pretend it is for the WHC and will mark out accordingly.

I'm fine with this on a few points:
1. It elevates the importance of the Intercontinental Championship. With the brand extension and two world champions, the Intercontinental Championship really became a tertiary title stuck in the background, which has been readily apparent for years now. The IC strap hasn't felt even remotely important or significant since early 2009, when we were having tournaments to determine champions and Chris Jericho was defending the title against Rey Mysterio.
2. If Daniel Bryan wins, the title is put on somebody who is a main-eventer. I know it looks bad to have a secondary title on a guy who should be a world championship contender, but Bryan could really elevate the title simply by wearing it around his waist and defending it.
3. With Money in the Bank now its own pay-per-view, we haven't had a chance to have a good ladder match at WrestleMania in years. This Intercontinental Championship match could end up like the Money in the Bank ladder match from WrestleMania 23, where we had a collection of upper-tier, world championship-caliber wrestlers still fighting for a prize that wasn't a world title. But this year, instead of Jeff Hardy, Edge, Randy Orton, or King Booker, we'll have Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and Dean Ambrose.
Honestly, making it a multi-man ladder match is the best-case scenario for both the belt and the people involved.

Huh. This is kinda fuzzy, but wasn't there some technical wrestler guy ten years ago that won the World Championship in the main event of WrestleMania? And then a year later he was in a multi-man ladder match?
Wonder what happened to that dude.

And now with "Bryan singles match" merged into this (probably), this frees up another space on the main card. It probably won't be Miz v Sandow since Miz is in the Andre, and the Divas match will be always be on the main card somehow, so I think it's between the Tag Championship match and probably Goldust v Stardust for that final main card space.
(Or they might fit both on and have other things on the pre-show, I don't know. I can't predict the future)

Feels like we're tempting fate, somewhat.

Ok, so this is a great start. Now can we make it so that the new champion doesn't job at least once a week in a non-title match? There ARE other ways to build up contenders you know, like, GASP! having them fight each other, rather then beating the champion. Ah who am I kidding... Barrett will lose a non title match to every other participant for the next 5 weeks let's be honest. It's pretty much guaranteed. And knowing WWE, he'll win the ladder match at WM. I swear, if I never hear Cole say "A win over the champion tonight will put (challenger) right in line for a future championship opportunity, I will die a happy man.

Unless Bryan's already killed a dude, but he's as good at hiding it as Patrick Bateman.

Bryan in the IC Ladder Scramble is the best case scenario. There is no way you put Bryan, Ziggler, Ambrose, and Barrett in that match at WM and it doesn't steal the show.

If Daniel Bryan is in the match I hope he wins. Just assume that he's going to lose every match for the rest of his career that way when he wins something you can be happy.

I want to see these guys wrestling 1 on 1 matches with a story, instead of clusterf*** ladder match bumpfest. It's for a title at least, but it's lazy writing that makes the wrestlers involved completely interchangeable.

WWE needs to fly Christian in so he can help put together this match.
I don't like Bryan and his fans annoy me, but what is WWE thinking? It's not even a scenario where he would be in the match to bring it up. He has gone from main event to being lost in the shuffle.
WWE has made me want a Sheamus/Bryan match.
