It's amazing, amazing, that the WWE has got/had the tools to not only be the best wrestling company but to truly push it over the top. Ricky Steamboat, arguably the best in ring wrestler ever, a guy who is AT LEAST in the top 5-10 workers list in on your payroll, but he's not the trainer? I'm not saying become the dungeon but goddamn. Being the best workers of all time doesn't necessarily mean that you're going to be one of the best trainers of all time, star athletes who turn to coaching often become frustrated because the people they're coaching simply cannot do the things that they could as a performer. A lot of the best wrestling trainers weren't world champs or considered all time greats, but they had a solid grasp of the fundamentals, of what was needed to make you become a solid talent. That's not saying DeMott is a good coach of course, they fired him once because of his lacklustre performance and ditched DSW a few months later because people weren't developing how they'd expected and hadn't been for a long time, it amazes me that they brought him back and not Dr. Tom. I think if they can find a "star" wrestler who is patient with the trainees, someone who doesn't try to turn them into mini clones of himself, but can still help them develop the little things that made him a star, they'd be set. DeMott may have a "solid grasp of the fundamentals", but these guys need more than that, especially when they have to compete with the big name indy workers coming in. DeMott...well...the way developmental is in general is hamstringing these guys and keeping them from being as good as they could be.

Yeah, the only thing I'll say in DeMott's defense, and it really isn't a defense of him, more about a general principle, it's that being a star in your chosen field doesn't mean you'd make a great teacher/coach/instructor/whatever, and sometimes the guys who were crappy compared to their peers wind up being the best coaches down the road. Wayne Gretzky didn't exactly set the world on fire as a hockey head coach, did he? No, his team wasn't great to begin with, but still, some of the best coaches in various sports have been guys who were career minor leaguers, because those guys had no choice but to listen hard, work every day, and try to squeeze every ounce of talent out of themselves to even scratch at an opportunity. That's not something people who are ridiculously, naturally gifted can always relate to, so instructing becomes tougher.
That said, all of that is immaterial to the issue at hand: whether DeMott was a star, a scrub, or anything in between during his career, all accounts point to him being a pretty horrible person, and thus a horrible coach, in his role with WWE. I don't care if the trainer is Harley Race or Pistol Pez Whatley (who was actually the 3rd Ultimate Warrior, of course), if you're doing that to your trainees, get the hell out.

Speaking of which, this makes me wonder how Ziggler feels about Demott.
If a dude got at my brother, I'd be far less than cool with him.

Hopefully more and more will come out of the woodwork now and accuse Demott.
I reckon we know what happened to Funaki's incriminating pictures. Bill Demott bullied them from him. JTG and Rosa managed to get a few before it happened though.

It would really be a shame if some highly trained MMA shooter was training down there and accidentally crippled Demott.

"Full Investigation" brought to you by WWE.
Official: Hey Bill. Remember this guy? ((Holds up picture of Judas Devlin)) He says you did some pretty not okay things to him and other aspiring Superstars. Are any of them true?
DeMott: That ****n' ***** ass *******? Nope.
Official: Ok. Thanks Bill! Have a great day!

Joey Ryan just posted another reddit link of another former NXT backing up pretty much everything Judas said.
I didn't read all of it, but the guy only sent his letter after being told to by Harley Race.
Harley F***ing Race.
Shit might get real, guys.

Y'know, I was a fan of the Hugh Morrus character back in the 90's-00's. A bipolar psycho who would cackle manically, and then throw the occasional moonsault. And to find out that the man who played that character to be a douchebag bully who injures his trainees is pretty disappointing.

Whilst reading this, I just couldn't help but keep thinking I wished he'd tried some of this shit on Lesnar.
I've always hated Demott, never read anything positive about him and I'm baffled as to why he's head trainer. Sack the useless, bullying piece of crap and have Steamboat or Regal run the developmental system.

The fact that Bill Demott is the head trainer and superior of guys like Billy Gunn.. and Ricky Steamboat... Ricky freakin' Steamboat... Makes no sense. WWE is pretty much on good terms with everyone at this point in time. You mean to tell me they can't get someone more qualified to run that place? You are saying Lance Storm wouldn't take that place over? Sean Waltman and Scott Hall wouldn't be great trainers? Goldust is close to calling it quits, he wouldn't love to go down there and work with his dad? I just don't understand how Demott got this spot. I watched his whole WCW run. I can remember him debuting on Saturday Night. He sucked. He is most famous for being named after a boner for a while. He jobber for Goldberg a lot. How did he score one of the most important jobs in WWE? A job he has held off and on for the better part of a decade. Think about this.. A guy who spent his whole career as one step up from a jobber is Dusty Rhodes boss. Is Billy Gunns boss. Let that sink in. It is like buying a Ferrari and putting sand in the gas tank. I already said it. Triple H wanted a drill sargent to weed people out. That's why he got the spot. Here's the difference between a drill sergeant and Bill DeMott; drill sergeants train people the way that they do because they care about the well-being of their charges after they leave their training. I surmise that DeMott does not actually care about the people he trains at all. What's everyone's favorite example of a drill sergeant? My choice, and probably most other peoples' choice as well, is R. Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket. Do you know why he was cast in the role? He was an honest-to-God former drill sergeant and was brought in to be a consultant on the film until Ermey convinced Kubrick he was the best choice for the role. Ermey has been upfront and honest about his training methods; he broke them down emotionally until they were tough enough to withstand his vehement verbal abuse. To him, and all other drill sergeants, training the soldiers in all of the relevant skills was easy. Teaching them to deal with the horrors of the job was the hard part. Every week Ermey and the other drill instructors would get the casualty reports from Vietnam and pray that they did not see any familiar names and then die inside a little every time they did see the name of a soldier that they trained. I don't see DeMott crying over anyone failing as a result of his training not being adequate for them to succeed at their career.

Saw the same thing....though it was the title of a craigslist ad and not a twitter handle. That being said if they just want a drill sergeant type to "weed out the weak minded" just hire this guy edit - dammit Dr. T...you snuck it in while I was image searching...
