Also, Angelina Love used to do this whacky Reverse DDT Backstabber that was nonsensical. Like...just do a f***ing Backstabber. Why do you need to bend your opponent backwards if you are just gonna drop them on your knees?

CM Punk's GTS always looked weak as hell.

HBKs Teardrop suplex. Shane Douglas' belly to belly suplex. Teardrop Suplex is a neat enough move, but a shitty finisher. Belly to Belly's s'alright, but not the best, sure. I like Miz, but the Mizard of Oz was a weak finisher. I kind of wish he still did the Mizard of Oz as a signature.

I was thinking about common finishers the other day. The one that chaffs my nuts is the Spear. There was ONE wrestler who could use the Spear and make it look like it actually devastated someone, and that was GORE GORE GORE GORE. Rhyno!!
Goldbergs wasn't a finisher, it was a setup. Edge's sucked. Reigns sucks. I can't think of anyone else who made it look better than the Man Beast.
I've always hated the Jeff Jarrett/Miz/hundred other guys finisher, that face plant shit. Lame.

The heart punch is the absolute worst.
Just put your arm up, you dingus!
Along with looking goofy and requiring a convoluted set-up, it's legit killed two people, making its actually-dangerous-to-not-looking-dangerous-at-all quotient extremely unfavorable.
I will never get the love it gets on this board.
Garvin stomp was pretty lame too, but was that ever a finisher or just a signature move?
Both are worse than Overdrive.

Does Jay Lethal still do the Lethal Injection?
Because, if so, that's my vote for worst finisher currently used in wrestling. Way too convoluted, especially the fact that he has to cartwheel off the ropes EVERY SINGLE TIME (even when it makes absolutely no sense to do so) instead of just doing a Cutter. It's so annoying because it's trying way too hard to be unique.

Wade Barrett's Wasteland in 2010 has to be it for me. The dude does this violent scream and makes you think you're about to see something brutal before doing some shit that looks like a trampoline wrestler's self-made finisher. He legit injured Cena with that move. I'd say it's brutal enough. How does one move manage to reinvent awkwardness to such a degree?

Not a finisher, but the move where you wrench an opponent's (whose on their back) arm and set it bent above their head with the hand on the mat, and then stomp on the elbow as their hand seems magically glued to the mat.... I don't understand the physics. Sure, stomping an elbow like that would hurt, but you're relying on the opponent not simply moving their arm.

You know who should use the Overdrive?
Bo Dallas. It's a perfect match. He can even call it the BOverdrive.

I kind of wish he still did the Mizard of Oz as a signature. It'd be fine for that, kind of like how he still does the kneelift into the neckbreaker spot. I guess with Sting around, we shouldn't expect guys doing reverse DDT variations for right now.

Well it looks like Solomon Crowe is looking to take the title of lamest finisher in WWE What the hell is that? I vote pay dirt. Literally a move where you rock bottom yourself, and it hardly ever looks devastating.

The Belly to Belly was good enough, Shane and Magnum TA were crisp enough for it to go over.
The AA is great when Cena uses the Avalanche version or when he just throws them like he did to Batista.

Well it looks like Solomon Crowe is looking to take the title of lamest finisher in WWE The concept is somewhat interesting, but it is a rather lackluster finisher, and it looks like a botch almost. Speaking of which, it just looks like a lot could go wrong with that. He needs to go back to the drawing board on that.

Between that and the woman's bathing suit Crowe needs a little fine tuning.

Never been a fan of the tombstone always looks like they just land on there knees and the other person has no chance of getting hurt maybe when they first started and the neck was somewhat down and I get why they do it but the modern pulled up landing on knees tombstone was always really lame to me

There was a wrestler who pinned people after a wedgie for Gods sake.
Also the Worm. Crowd popped for it but it sucked.
My least favorite finisher ever though is the top rope diving headbutt. So many people that use this move end up with neck/concussion issues and it isn't even that cool looking of a move.

That's actually a decent-looking Paydirt though; it doesn't look too much different than the RKO in that gif other than the angle at which he jumps and grabs.
I agree about its inexplicable overuse among that particular demographic, though.

HBKs Teardrop suplex. Shane Douglas' belly to belly suplex. Sorry to take this off in a completely different direction, but that Reigns/McMahon gif legit made me cough up the Danish I was trying to eat while reading this thread. I don't think I have seen Vince's fascination/obsession with Roman Reigns summed up so epically. I thank you sir.
