I casually made this thread because I thought it was a pretty surreal thing when I read about it on Facebook and knew there were Snob fans on FAN. Then i updated the thread recently when I was surprised to see an update to the situation as I was sure from Brad's original comments that he'd stay hush about it permanently. Now we have this young lady giving her opinion, which I think we can all respect and by no means do I see any reason why we'd ban her like she was on the other two websites mentioned.
I'd like to thank her for bringing a different perspective to things and honestly its pretty surreal that a forum originally called WrestleCrap is now a major medium for people to get their opinions and points of view across. I'll assume you googled "Jake leaves cinema snob" or something similar in order to get here, unless FAN is waaaaaaay more relevant and popular then I thought.
One quick thing I want to get out there, not that its really important but it is to me. I don't want people to think i am a gossip hound or made this thread to meddle in anyones business. I honestly didn't even think this thread would get any replies other then perhaps a few from the couple of Snob fans i know that post here. I suppose now that we have heard from both sides (for the most part) I now feel bad for everyone involved. Putting my self in Jake or Brad's shoes, i couldn't imagine going through the same thing with my best friend and I can't guarantee I'd react any better either. Hopefully cooler heads prevail you all figure this stuff out and can at least be cordial to each other. And hell, maybe we can get Jake back into the 80s Dan movie. ROB was hilarious.
Best of luck to you and welcome to FAN. Try to stay away from FAN Champion SuperSweet. He loves the booty.

So someone creates a Channel Awesome account to write on behalf of Brad and tells a story of jilted love, betrayal, and a lost friendship. Someone else creates an account on a completely different forum, relaying the other side of the story that includes a bitter spurned lover and a bisexual relationship.
This is where Brad and Jake rips off their faces and reveal that they're Andy Kauffman and Vince Russo, right?

Was also on the Channel Awesome forums but they deleted it They also banned me and haven't emailed me back telling me why I was banned. Seeing as I was the one being towards everyone.

Lol. But I said my piece. I'm sure FB will have more on it. I don't want to start drama when one of the admins made it clear that isn't what is wanted here. ? I just want to be respectful of the site as well.

Why would they have a "contact" tab if they aren't going to respond? I haven't ran a site so I'm curious

Why would they have a "contact" tab if they aren't going to respond? I haven't ran a site so I'm curious I obviously cannot speak for any other community but my response in their shoes would be no different. Here, while we try to be transparant as all hell, most people know why they were banned and can see it comming, or can piece it together with some common sense. So in those cases emails may not be sent as we're ready to be done with that particular person being involved with us. Just DONE. Board health is critcal and when someone disrupts that, even if that person hasn't broken rules exactly (although rare extreme examples)... that poster will be gone quickly. Now when a forum is dedicated to a popular website it makes it even more likely to see fast bans without explanation as everything that happens on the forum reflects on the website in question. It's a branding protection concern. It'd be no different here were we faced with a level of gossip and drama that seems to follow these more popular review sites. Now do be mindful everyone as a reminder, FAN has a rule in place specifically barring speaking ill of other online communities and forums. We like to play nice with our pop culture brethren. Board wars and rivalries are nonsense.

I am a little surprise at the attention we're getting but as co-owner of the joint, I'd like to take all the credit. Thank you, thank you, and thank YOU. Oh, and welcome aboard here. Most of these folks are nice, but there's a few to keep an eye on. JAG....

It wasn't addressed to me at all and all my posts disappeared so what you stated about it having to do with a site being affiliated with another makes sense. Especially after who directly posted after someone asked if I got banned. That makes a lot of sense. My point isn't to ever make sites look bad for maintenance. That is what is needed and what should happen. I just did not understand why it happened or why it was unlikely to be addressed. Thank you for the info (even though I know it's a different site and may have different views)

I'm...a bit uncomfortable with our board being an outlet for what's going on there.

I dunno why but Brad should have cut a Randy Savage styled promo about the whole incident. "Jake Norvill, YOU GOT LUST IN YOUR EYES AND IN YOUR BLACK HEART!..." "You say you love me like a brother? Well listen to this Jake Norvill! I hate You. I HATE YOUR GUTS! AND THAT'S WHAT'S GONNA BE LEFT, ALL OVER THE KEYBOARD AFTER SNOBAMANIA 5!!!"

Sad state of things. Especially to two guys I really enjoy. Hope things turn out alright and one day things can settle down for the best. In the mean time there's new Midnight screenings to watch. Though won't be the same without Jake.

Welcome, Mamakat! I'm sorry about what went down with your circle of friends. I'm a big fan of Jake. I don't know if he'd ever see this place much less post here, but his angry rants got me through some serious crap I was going through the last couple of years. I don't see the logic in some random troll coming here of all places just for giggles; so I think you're legit. I'm disappointed to hear about Brad doing this. This is similar to what happened with Spoony.
EDIT: Didn't see the other page, so I just now saw the reminder. Sorry if I didn't delete it in time.

Okay, I edited the above post and I'm going to reiterate what Cornfed already very plainly stated: We are NOT going to start calling members of another board names or any other such inflammatory statements. We are absolutely, unequivocally not about that sort of thing here.

Honestly, we heard two sides of the story. I appreciate you coming on here and behaving mamakat, but I'm going to lock the thread...not delete, just lock. You're welcome to look around and post here more, but I think everything's been said that's needed to be said.
