Do the divas have the best booked feud of Wrestlemania 31?

Disagree. This match screams FILLER to me. There's nothing whatsoever to be had by winning, and next to no consequences for losing. But let's brush that aside. AJ and Paige being reluctant partners because they hate the Bellas is cliche, and the Bellas being united after an absolutlely ghastly feud that spanned months and months and provided some truly terrible TV segments, with the simple explianation of "derp, we're sisters!" is even worse.

The worst of this is, Brie Bella looks like an idiot, and has for the better part of a year. I understand Nikki is the more talented one, and it isnt even close. But, they pretty much murdered any chance of Brie breaking away

The video for this match on the WrestleMania today show is absolute character assassination on AJ and Paige. You need to see that to believe it.

Also, they say Paige had a silver spoon. They clearly haven't seen her council house in Norwich.

It took almost two years but as I watch Wrestlemania TODAY, Nikki finally got to respond to AJ's pipebombshell and to be honest... the video package kind of buries AJ's character. I hope it airs at the PPV and I will try to find it.

Yeah, my post right above yours was the same thing. That video was brutal burying AJ and Paige. Paige was NOT a silver spoon child. They clearly have not seen her early life.

Paige lost at Fastlane, loses the rematch and suddenly AJ's back I guess. Then there's a tag match booked because...women be catty and whatnot. Then they just hurl insults at each other for weeks before the Bellas try to break AJ/Paige up in the only feud development at all. BUT NOPE, that's resolved 3 days later, nevermind.

There is no reason to care about this match because there's no reason to care who wins; no stakes or ANYTHING.

I liked it when Brie motioned down at her body and then Paige in response put her hands up presenting her boobs in defense. This happened on Smackdown, and it was a subtle tit-for-tat encounter that I found amusing.

I think this feud has been decent, overall I've found the Bellas to be pretty 2D and bland, especially the baffling Brie heel character. When they're on commentary especially they just have nothing to say, not much character.

That said, I do think Nikki is an entertaining heel and pretty solid in that role in the ring, and I love Paige and AJ. Plus AJ is much less smarmy and whatnot than before she left.

Overall I give this feud a solid 6.7 out of 10, and I like a few better than this one. Still not bad, but a bigger question is what heels can Paige and AJ work with next? I guess they need to bring up some people from NXT fast.

Funny enough, take too many from NXT and that suffers. There is a big drop off from the top 4 to the rest. The next one after Sasha, Becky, Charlotte and Bayley is Blue Pants and she isn't even signed.

It is a delicate act with the women at present.

The next ones on the pecking order are Alexa Bliss and Carmella who are still green. Not sure about Dana Brooke yet, reports from the last NXT taping don't exactly fill me with much optimism. So yeah, there is a huge dropoff from NXT's Fab 4 to the rest of the Divas.

This was great but it should have aired, you know, when AJ was a heel in 2013. Fair or not, people are going to assume this is WWE's way of burying AJ given the circumstances.

There was a great video package/Bella promo on Wrestlemania Today about this. Got me invested in the match quite a bit but also highlighted how selfish, hypocritical and two faced AJ's character is. It showed AJ's lame Mrs Punk piperumble, knocking the entire division and call them plastic, then it cuts to her saying she's returning as a hero to stick up for the whole division because they've all been bullied by the Bellas.
It cemented Bellas as faces for me in this feud. Seriously, check it out, it's a great video.

It's not a burial or character assassination. It's a selfish character getting called out for it. Same way everyone loves it when it happens to Cena.

As for the Paige silver spoon thing, I'm pretty sure they're just using the wrestling family combined with her getting a title shot on her first night. It's not a shoot so people need to relax.

It should have happened two years when AJ was actually a heel and The Bellas were faces. WWE is so backwards about this. Because of the timing, because of Punk, people will wonder if it's a jab by WWE regardless.

The smart-ass posts about 'what is this feud even' annoy me because if you look for it, the story is there. But at the same time, we shouldn't really have to look for it. AJ should have been able to respond to this on WWE TV in the build up.

I'll just put this here rather than start a new thread.

Word coming out of WrestleMania 31 Week is that WWE officials are planning major changes for the Divas division going forward. There's a lot of talk that WWE is about to change how the Divas are portrayed.

The "#GiveDivasAChance" movement reportedly opened a lot of eyes within WWE in regards to how the Divas are booked. In addition, the success of Total Divas has made some WWE officials feel that they need to do more with their female competitors.

There's a feeling that they present the Diva personalities so strong on E! but when new fans that are made through Total Divas tune into regular WWE programming, they're not seeing the same portrayal that they see on Total Divas. WWE officials are looking to fix this so they don't lose potential viewers in the coming months.

I don't believe it and PWI has been spectacularly wrong before but at the same time it's honestly not that hard to push the division.

- Don't bury them in the death spot regularly.
- Which means putting them early in the show if you can.
- Give them time, some freedom in the ring, and have the announcers treat them seriously as opposed to AJ having to call out Lawler and JBL while Cole plays referee.
- Give them at least decent material.

There. You've pushed the divas division.
