In a 240 minute PPV called WrestleMania they had 98 minutes of actual wrestling. While I thought the match times were okay for the most part, they could have easily for another couple of matches into the main show and trimmed some of the fat.

According to Wikipedia, it's the first time since WrestleMania 18 that all of the matches were under 20 minutes. It's worth noting that WM18 had 11 matches on the main card and one match on Sunday Night Heat, compared to WM31's seven on the main card and two pre-show.

They really hurt themselves by loading up on the IC match. The tag team division not being worth main card time should mean more opportunity for the midcarders to shine. They could have split the matches to, say, Bad News/Stardust/Killings. Then like Harper/Ambrose and Ziggler/Bryan. Or adding Sheamus. You have any number of opportunities to REALLY showcase some fan favorites like Bryan, Ziggler, and Ambrose instead of limiting them to splitting 3 minutes of offense each in a clusterschmozz at the start of the show.

Now I'm wondering how many Manias had 120 minutes of actual wrestling. Trivia question there. I bet it's not that many.

Triple H was on TV for over almost an of the show. His match, plus the drawn out Rock/Ronda segment. The Rocks entrance took over 5 minutes alone. I know it's his thing, but did he really have to draw out his entrance like that? He took time off the last two matches.
