I wouldn't think they'd make such a claim about the roster being 120+ unique people not including clones so explicitly and so thoroughly if it weren't actually true. When have they ever done that? not only that, but if it comes out that this is not true, then it's considered false advertising. when they were so tight lipped about last years game because they knew it was bare bones, it's hard to think they would do this if they weren't confident.

With Austin as the focus, maybe they'll add more Attitude Era wrestlers again, but unless it's a clone-fest, I don't see how 120 slots are gonne be filled If they focus on ALL of Austin's career, you could have a bunch of people: his Dangerous Alliance bretheren, Sting of the time, Brian Pillman of the time, The Sandman, Mikey Whipwreck (from the ECW Triple Threat), Ricky Steamboat...maybe Jim Duggan if they wanna include Austin's last moment in WCW pretty much...etc. A genuine ECW style arena on top of this would be phenomenal.

Personally, I'm going to think positive thoughts about the game based on what they've told us and what we've seen. August 4th, 2014 was when we first received the first screenshot for 2015. From that point we got some developer videos, saw the roster at Summerslam, received some previews but it was mostly quiet. In this case? We're already hearing about the roster amount, slightly more videos than before from the devs, we've heard some actual rumblings. Everything thus far seems to be better than last year from a roll-out point of view. All we need now to see is exactly the extra stuff. They've gotten better.
Once they start with the negative in regards to gameplay, the creation aspects, modes and graphics then yeah I'll agree. Until then I'll be positive.

Still bet Zack Ryder won't make it into the game.

Thst would require taking a year off atleast. Vince will never let that happen. He wants that Christmas money, dammit. If WWE would have let 2K push the game to a WrestleMania month release, they'd have time to fix what needs to be. But that's never going to happen.

Can we clarify who is making the games now? I know that Yukes is still working on the game, is the split that Yukes works on the mechanics, and Visual Concepts does the graphics, or is it Yukes does the last get stuff, and VC does the current gen. Because I'm sure Yukes is a primary reason why this series doesn't move forward.

Honestly, I'm undecided if I'll go last gen or current. With 2K15, last gen had much more fluid gameplay, but was a buggy mess. Current gen was clean and Superstar Studio is awesome, but the gameplay was clunky and pretty much sucked. If last gen keeps the 2K14 gameplay but cleans up the bugs, I'll likely go with that.

If you're going last gen then other than an updated roster. I would just keep playing 2K14/2K15 last gen.

Obviously, Kurt Angle, Benoit, and Owen Hart won't be in the game. Neither will Foley, unless they offered him pay that will make him happy. Plus, I think they will gloss over his ECW time, so we wouldn't get any playable matches from that time.

It was short, yes, but that time period is what helped to transition Austin from Stunning to Stone Cold. Plus, ECW Arena in a WWE game. Though...does Mikey Whipwreck have any bad blood with anything WWE related? Haven't heard either way on that...

If Austin's mode in the game means I get Sandman in baggy American pants to play as, count me in for supporting this mode.

Great display here. Notice how the games have changed dramatically. Went from very bad to silly fun in the mid-90s to pretty good in the late 90s. Then to great in the early 2000s for a good amount of them and it then changed.

I doubt 2K would go through the trouble of putting ECW stuff in just for Austin when when it would only be a couple of guys/matches. At least with WCW, a lot of those guys, arenas, etc. could be used for a potential Sting or Ric Flair showcase if they wanted to go that route as well.

Man, Elimination Chamber matches are just the worst. The AI just decides to gang up & beat the shit out of you at every turn, and for some reason you don't get the reversal notifications because they're usually actually targeting someone else.
Oh, and the fun & not hairpullingly frustrating way they like to walk up and shove you out of your finisher, which takes it away from you for some stupid f***ing reason. That's always hilarious.

I usually cheese my way through them, constantly going in and out of the ring and attacking whoever follows me through the ropes. I let the last two AI opponents go to town on each other, then immediately nail the winner with a finisher to pick up the cheap win.
