I enjoyed Jeff Jarrett as a mid-card guy vying for the IC and US titles in WWF and WCW, never felt he was a main event talent and was death as a world champion to me.

Unless you ARE AJ, you missed my point completely. Because, and I only say this as an outside observer, you come off like what these people say affect you on a personal level. Who gives a shit if someone here hates AJ? If you like her, that should be all that matters to you. Life's too short to go into defensive mode over someone you don't know personally. That's just me. It's more interesting to me if people explain why they like and dislike certain wrestlers, stories, angles etc.... It's got nothing to do with personal offence or defensiveness. Some people have legit reasons for disliking a wrestler, some people bandwagon on shitty memes, and some people just can't explain their dislike at all. Take Shannon Moore for example. None of us can explain why we hate him but all we know is that his presence sets the universe off-balance.

People hated Shannon Moore?
Even when Punk slapped him really hard and he almost started crying?
Who could hate such an adorable little face?

I'm on the other end. I love Shannon Moore.
Why? I don't know I just do.

What the last handful of pages shows is that everyone thinks the wrestlers they like are hated, but everyone also has a brother in arms who likes that person they think they're alone on.
Which is why people shouldn't get in to such a freaking tizzy when someone says they don't like someone you do. You can discuss it, you can debate it, but it shouldn't be a personal offense because we're all really in the same boat.
Seriously, it'll all be all right, guys.

I can understand disliking AJ as a character and performer (I don't agree with it, ive always thought she was great, but I can understands other not liking her). It doesn't upset me or make me angry
However, I just don't see how people can attack AJ the person. A lot of people seem to have turned against her just because she is married to Cm Punk (from comments ive seen anyway). Every time I see her in a interview, comic con panels etc she comes across as very likeable. Im not ashamed to admit that I have had a 'crush' on her for a long time (the only other celebrity I have a similar crush on is Tatiana Maslany).
I have no problem with people disliking the character, but I just don't like it when people say that they are happy that AJ is gone etc because she honestly doesn't deserve that. I don't like John Cena as a character, but I would never say 'good riddance' when he retires. I wouldn't even say it about Kane or Big Show.
AJ was a wrestling fan and lived her dream. She was never terrible (despite what some people say). She wasn't the very best. But she was good at her job. She then happened to win the support of Vince and co and received a huge push and she succeeded. Most of the other women on the roster would not have succeeded like she did. The Bella Twins don't connect with the crowd like she did. Naomi/Natalya etc dont have the charisma/mic skills she did (again, AJ isn't the best on the mic but she is far above every diva on the roster). She was given a chance to succeed and she took it.
She had her dream job and deserved to be respected for everything she has done. You can hate the character as much as you like, but I don't agree with people celebrating the fact that she is gone

It is the Universe trying to maintain, those that don't slap him end up like Jim Henson and we all.know how that ended.

You can hate the character as much as you like, but I don't agree with people celebrating the fact that she is gone That's just it, these threads wouldn't turn into the bloodbaths that they do if people (both pro and anti-AJ) were just calmly stating their opinions on the character and her talents as a performer; it's an infinitely subjective concept and no one's opinion is more or less valid than anyone else's. You can always disagree but no one is right or wrong. It's when people seem to loathe the person behind the performance, someone they don't even close to know personally, and revel in bashing them to an unhealthy extent, that things take a dark turn and this place stops being fun. Things also stop being fun when people literally claim an opinion to be incorrect because it differs to theirs. AJ attracted that kind of reaction more than anyone else for a time... then Roman Reigns won the Rumble and we saw it on a whole 'nother level.
