No, it can't have been 17 years ago. Time hasn't passed that quickly has it?

why isn't the tank in the hall of fame yet?! Because of Vacant's ego. Vacant's always been a belt mark, and the tank is just one of those 'shoulda been a world champ' guys like Roddy Piper.

This tank of which we speak, is it some sort of urban legend? Why was this moment not documented on film? Surely they would have filmed the siege of WCW! WWE has failed to capitalize on such a pivotal moment. PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN, I TELL YA.

A jeep so mighty, so Monday Night Wars beating, it appeared like a tank.
Sounds Hogan-esque.
"I drove that jeep, uh, that TANK, that 100 TON TANK UP TO TED TURNER, BROTHER! RIGHT ONTO HIS SHOES!"

I've been enjoying the CNN all day coverage of this milestone

The overhype of this segment (and our response to it) is one of my favourite running gags. Yeah, it's an OK segment in it's own right, but it's obvious they just wanted something that showcased Triple H as the lead guy in it (and they can't really use DX impersonating The Nation as much anymore because of the blackface elements involved). The fact that it also involves symbolism of the WWF "taking the fight" to WCW is icing on the cake for them.

why isn't the tank in the hall of fame yet?! The tank destroys whatever it comes into contact with (except DX members). Do you not want there to be a HOF anymore?

In my opinion the real damage was done a week or two later when the ruthless DX went to the CNN centre and stood around.

Still beats when the wolves debuted in TNA in a minivan and the announcers and mvp were calling it a limo with a straight face.
