Mayweather was a good sport about it and adapted well as a heel and trained pretty hard to deliver a decent match and was nice to everyone backstage apparently like a true professional. So yeah I'd imagine WWE will always have a soft spot for him. Why can't this be the same Floyd Mayweather that I keep hearing about in the news? Instead, I've got this image of an arrogant womanizer. The guy knows how to get heel heat IRL, he plays the role so well that people will pay good money in hopes of seeing him lose, and then get legitimately pissed when he wins. Might rub some people the wrong way, but hey, it makes him shitloads of PPV money, dude's got bills to pay. |

I'm okay with relevant celebrities participating if they're enthusiastic about it. Hugh Jackman appearing twice for them has been fantastic and I hope he returns for a wrestlemania.
Big Show slapping the crap out of Bieber could be good.

Why can't this be the same Floyd Mayweather that I keep hearing about in the news? Instead, I've got this image of an arrogant womanizer. People are complicated. He might be the nicest guy in the world around friends or in a professional setting but if he sees a woman he wants to beat the shit out of he turns into the douche he's perfectly capable of being. I've known a few people who were like that -- not woman beaters specifically, but still -- and that's just how they were. He should reign in this behavior if he wants to have a career in a few years. |
