Alright, guys, quick question - I've seen... I don't know, maybe 3 episodes of ROH in the past 7 years, so what can a basically new fan expect from ROH? The last time I checked it out (probably in or around '07) it seemed very straight up wrestling and nothing more, which kind of bored me. Is it still like that or has it changed?

It's like NXT with way lower production values. There are some angles and fun characters but the focus is clearly on wrestling. The weekly shows aren't the most exciting thing in the world but they are usually a breeze to watch and pretty much all the storytelling is logical.

LOTS OF TNA-ROH-DESTINATION AMERICA UPDATES by Mike Johnson @ 5:24 PM on 5/27/2015 Several readers have sent word that TNA talents have started sending out Tweets mentioning Ring of Honor coming to Destination America plugging they are the lead-in for TNA Impact Wrestling. From what I have been told, this is something TNA is doing on their own and not something that Destination America has requested of the company. There is no working relationship between TNA and ROH and this is not something the two companies came up with together. My belief is that it was a request that TNA management made of the wrestlers during today's conference call. It looks to be TNA's way of babyfacing an obviously embarrassing situation. Speaking of that call, I am still getting details but I was told it ran well over 90 minutes and as you could imagine, there were some less than happy TNA contracted talents on the line. As far as how TNA could not have had an exclusivity clause for the network for pro wrestling programming, UTA negotiated the contract, not TNA, so any blame should fall upon them. I am very curious to see if Destination America is looking to add additional wrestling programming as obviously House of Hardcore, Global Force Wrestling, hell, even New Japan Pro Wrestling, etc. are out there. That's a pretty big f***-up on UTA's part. If I were Destination America, I'd be talking to every wrestling fed I could since they can.

So nothing was settled on the conference call. TNA talent still in the dark Are you kidding, look at their tweets: "It's a good day to be a wresting fan" lol seriously, like 20 of them have tweeted that. Did TNA tell them to all tweet the exact same thing? ROH gets 1 hour and TNA still gets their usual 2 hours. I imagine both companies are using this as a platform to get onto bigger networks.

There's no real incentive to keeping Impact compared to the ROH deal, though. DA is paying money to TNA and getting bad ratings, absolute shitty management, and (allegedly) demands in return. Except they aren't getting bad ratings. Impact's ratings are better than DA's other programming. Aside from the alleged email botch, TNA have seemingly done nothing wrong. Yes it's Dixie's fault that their show is on Destination America in the first place, but that does not absolve DA for their ignorant and unrealistic expectations for what a pro wrestling product could bring to their network. Really though, ratings are a number that only matters for the sake of advertising. TNA's ratings would be good by normal DA standards, but if wrestling requires higher ratings to draw in more ad revenue, then those standards don't apply. It's like comparing box office revenues for a found footage movie vs. a blockbuster. The blockbuster can make more and still not be as successful just because the bar of what they have to do to be successful is so much higher.

Wow. Thank you, UTA. This could create a very cool situation for alternative wrestling.

Based off AJ, Sting, and Joe I am guessing that once they drop TNA, Destination America will suddenly become motivated.

MVP: So, what does this mean for iMPACT? Dixie: Well, it means that we're maybe going to have to shop my reality show to another network. Manik: I'd watch that in a second. MVP: Who cares about your reality show? Josh: As long as I got my Mad Buckets of Cash I'll watch. Austin Aries: Oh my god, why am I still here? Eric Young: Because you burnt more bridges than a pyromaniac troll? Davey Richards: Did you say something about burnt bridges? Dixie Carter: SHUT UP, PAY ATTENTION TO ME! Mr. Anderson: When di. All: SHUT UP NOBODY LIKES YOU! Khoya: "Is there a chance our show could end?" Dixie: "Not on your life, my Hindu friend!"

They want the numbers wrestling can bring so they are willing to become a destination for pro wrestling and hope it bring people to their other shows.
