Wouldn't 9 years be enough of an assessment time on the organization? Let's see where Damian will be in 2021. Now if you want to talk un-loyal, I'd go with Kevin Love. That dude just whined the last 2-3 years in his tenure with the Wolves. He only play there 6 years but whined for like the last 2. So essentially he gave up after only 4 years. Now that is unloyal. If only KG was there to smack some sense into him. Carmelo was worse. Pretty much let it leak anywhere and everywhere that he would only play in NY while still in Denver. So the team had absolutely no bargaining position. They still managed to get some talent that never really panned out (Gallinari), but he really publicly put the organization behind the 8-ball.

Hell with Loyalty in a sport where the owners will screw you I'm not showing no loyalty to them I'm with you in most every other sport (ESPECIALLY NFL), but the NBA has it pretty good. Cap keeps increasing, star players have eminent domain when it comes to coaches most places, guaranteed contracts that almost always work out for the player (Allan Houston), no franchise tag. I can see where they wouldn't have loyalty, because major team sports really don't lend themselves to that. It's more fan entitlement than an actual idea. But they get screwed less by the owners than probably even baseball which is a big player-centric market.

LeBron won't negotiate with the Cavs until they've signed Thompson. Thompson and Cavs seem to be at a stand still.

Roy Hibbert will be traded to the Lakers. I was a big support of Hibbert when the Pacers drafted him despite his critics. He looked like he was going to prove them wrong, but then he became...well...let me just spell it out for ya! S-A-W-F-T...SSSSAAAAAWWWWFFFFT! Have fun, Kobe.

The players have it pretty good for th emost part, but if owners feel like they'r elosing out on chances of success, they won't hesitate to throw players under the bus. Dominique Wilkins was loyal to Atlanta, and it got him run out of town. Then you also have the scenarios like the Cav's Lebron or T-Wolves Garnett, where players may be loyal, even for a long while in Garnett's case, but it just ends up hurting them in the long run when it doesn't pan out to anything. Guys like Dirk are lucky to have owners that were committed enough to at least get him one ring. A lot of loyal players don't even get that.

I don't even think LeBron wanted to leave Cleveland the first time, but who could see that team winning a championship? Their big moves were Larry Hughes, an old Shaq, and Donyell Marshall. Their drafting was pretty bad as well, namely because James always had their crappy teams above the lottery. Oddly enough, they could have done a little more had Boozer not swindled his way to Utah, ironically enough when we're talking about player loyalty. Boozer has always been a flawed defensive player, but he was money on offense in Utah. Some of that credit goes to Williams, but James could have used his 20/10 years as well.

Kings sign Kosta Koufos. 4/33mil Paying the Sixers a pick to take out our trash (JT, Stauskas, Landry) turned in Rondo, Belinelli, and Koufos. That is a MAJOR upgrade in talent. And I think the Kings have enough cap space to still make one more mid/minor addition. Rondo/Collison Belinelli/McLemore Gay/ WCS/Koufos DMC/Koufos Laugh at Sacramento all you want... I think there is talent enough to be competitive.

The West is just too good. I like WCS, but Rondo looked really bad last year. Belinelli is slightly above average. But that doesn't make you better than the Spurs, Warriors, Clips, Suns, Grizz, Rockets, Thunder, Mavs, Pelicans. And like even LA and Minny got impact players in the draft most likely. So you gained a big step on Portland and Denver. Maybe even a little one on LAC, who I'd still take over Sactown 10 times out of 10.

I'm thinking .500 level competitive, not playoffs. But after being a 25 win bottom-dweller for 10 years or so that's pretty exciting to me.
